We just completed a trip to central Mexico which involved driving in and around Queretaro and San Miguel de Allende down through Morelia and Patzcuaro and we used the 2007 edition of this map. Its a good map and provides useful detail of the areas north and west of Mexico City, but it also seemed dated and incomplete. No indication was given for example of the Arco Norte, a major highway begun in 2006 and completed in 2009. It would have been useful had the publisher at least marked where the Arco Norte was planned when the map was revised in 2007, thus alerting map readers post 2009 to look for this route connecting several important highways and avoiding a drive deeper into the DF. In addition, fairly large towns marked along the actual roads as exits don't appear on the map making it more of a challenge for the driver to assess where he/she is on the road. (Though I haven;t used the series, I read after my return that the Gui Roji road maps for Mexico are good.) The bottom line: this is a useful map for driving through Guanajuato and Michoacan, though it would be wise to double check your travel route online or with another updated map.
