Worth Every Nickel,
By
This review is from: Meyer Anolon Professional Saute Pan with Lid & Helper Handle 5 Qt.
This is one of the most usable, wearable skillets I have ever used. It is simply wonderful. I have used it to cook everything from omelets to fried chicken to french toast to soups. The finish is quite wearable and durable. I clean it with a plastic squeegee and mild soap. It doesn't get scratched up easily; you have to work at it. Most things just clean right up with a few scrubs of the squeegee. It also imparts no flavor whatsoever to what you are cooking in it. It doesn't retain smells of what you cooked previously. In a few words, it is worth every nickel you will pay for it. Every single one.. I promise.

This Pan Rocks!,

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Meyer Anolon Professional Saute Pan with Lid & Helper Handle 5 Qt.
This is absolutely the best sauté pan I have ever owned. I bought the big 12-inch and then a complete set. It's great for cooking one-pot meals for the family. Ever start cooking something and run out of room? No problem here. I really like the vertical sides as opposed to the "flare' of a traditional fry pan.The heat distribution is amazing. I love the glass lid. I also use it with a bamboo steamer for Asian cooking. The even temperature makes for a great steamer pot. Drawbacks: The pan is a little heavy when fully loaded. It's much different from handling a stock pot where you always grab two handles at once. Watch out for the "easy" grab using one handle. You may find food in places you didn't expect! The side and lid handles get fairly hot when in use (not enough to burn you, but you can't hold on to them more than a few seconds). I wished they did not use a metal handle on the lid, but something that would not transfer the heat as easily as metal. These are minor annoyances in an otherwise great product. Hey, grab a handle once or twice and you'll learn real fast. A great addition to any kitchen and highly endorsed!

Great pan at a great price,

This review is from: Meyer Anolon Professional Saute Pan with Lid & Helper Handle 5 Qt.
I paid full price for this pan about 8 years ago, and it is still great shape after all of these years. It is very versatile because it is a deep pan, serving multiple functions.
With that said, I would first recommend getting the Anolon professional 7 1/2 quart everything pan because it is cheaper and is able to do almost everything that this pan does. However, this is a better fry pan because the everything pan is even deeper, making it more difficult to flip larger items, especially as they get larger and closer to the edge of the pan.

Great pan! This family of 6 loves it!,
This review is from: Meyer Anolon Professional Saute Pan with Lid & Helper Handle 5 Qt.
I love this pan. I've just started to enjoy cooking and purchased this pan to help with recipes that I have to double and triple to feed my growing family. The size is perfect for us. Clean up is a breeze. Cooks very evenly. Works well with my glass cooktop. I will be buying more Analon in the future. Be aware however that it is NOT 5 quarts as stated. It is actually 4.75 which is not a huge difference but it is also not what it is advertised to be.

I purchased the 11 piece Anolon Pro set which includesthis pan. I really like it. The size is excellent for making meals large enough to serve two times. Clean up is non existent-nothing sticks. I like the extra handle, but do wish the handles didn't get as hot as they do. Would recommend to anyone who will listen!!

GREAT CHRISTMAS GIFT!,
This review is from: Meyer Anolon Professional Saute Pan with Lid & Helper Handle 5 Qt.
My mother-in-law knows how much I love to cook and gave me this fry/skillet for Christmas this past year. Now I have to admit that I never would have bought it for myself as I don't usually like to buy cookware that is this expensive. I'm re-thinking that strategy as this is one fantastic piece of equipment. Big, 5 quart pan, 4 inches deep that is big enough to do a batch of spaghetti sauce if you want. Or big enough to do five good sized burgers. The non-stick is among the best I have ever cooked with. Even the grimiest, greasey messes just rinse away with your faucet. I've never had ANYTHING that cleaned up as well as this one does. Add to all of that the sturdy glass lid and you have one tremendous pan that is well worth the money. Don't let the price scare you like it did me. You'll be glad you picked this one up.

This is the Cadillac of Saute Pans. It's heavy, easy to wash, non-stick, heats evenly, and is big enough to cook paella for 6. Beware though, a friend bought the same one from her Gold Box and it arrived with the lid missing.

THIS BEGINNER CHEF ....,

I have had the pleasure of pretending i knew how to cook for my new husband until i purchased this whole set of cookware. well, know i think i am 'chef boyardee' this cookware is very durable, allows you to cook your foods thoroughly, and helps you if you want to do it the 'atkins' way! The price is somewhat outrageous, but well worth it, and you dont spend your time trying to clean up either. After purchasing this set, i would recommend a cast iron dutch oven to complete your kitchen!
