5.0 out of 5 stars this is how you do a styilized figure, October 10, 2010

This review is from: Mezco Wolfman Stylized Roto Figure (Toy)
the wolfman roto figure is highly detailed and a wonderful addition to the cinema of fear toy line.
he has multiple points of articulation in the head, arms, legs and torso, although the pose is somewhat limited to a crouched attack stance this does not detract from figure. the coloration and overall appearance is fantastic, they have included the red lines under the eyes and the bulging bottom lip has similar coloration to that of a real dog or wolf. the clothing has highlights on the folds and tears on the shirt and vest, with particular attention payed to the rips and tears in the seams of the clothing. the wolfman is a substantial figure at about 9" in height, although the figure is light weight he has the look of a heft. this figure has raised the bar for the stylization of action figures. i only hope they continue to use the wolfman figure in the other incarnation of the cinema of fear toy line for example it would be great to see a plush version of this figure!

5.0 out of 5 stars Wolfman Mezco Stylized roto figure best wolfman figure ever!, October 15, 2012

Picked up the Mezco Stylized Roto Figure just recently, after wanting it as far back as before the movie was released. I am a great fan of the remake and of all the figures released by Mezco for the movie (Mezco was the only co. who did) this is by far the best. I also owned the Mez-Its and regular 6" figures but have since sold them; they weren't as impressive after a time on the shelf. This figure, on the other hand, is a lot of fun to look at even from a distance, because of its exagerated proportions.

As others have stated, there is surprising variations available with the articulation; especially the neck whcih is ball jointed on both ends giving you lots of play. Mine is on my work desk staring up as if baying at the moon, and I know I'll never part with him. If you're a fan of the Wolfman and don't own this, you might not be the fan you think you are!

This thing is so cool. The sculpt is a little cartoony, which I think is awesome -- it's got this wicked sneer that just cracks me up. Limited articulation, but for a roto-figure, it's not bad -- take a look at the picture, and there's the pose. Love it.

This figure is huge! It is listed as 9-inch scale, but it is only an inch or so shy of that in its battle crouch position. The likeness captures the look of the new Wolfman movie monster but deforms it just enough to give it a nice manga/comics inspired appearance. The pose is fairly set, but there is a surprising amount of articulation with the arms, legs, and neck via twist and ball joints. If you enjoyed The Wolfman or have always wanted a fun werewolf figure for your shelf, you won't be disappointed.
