I remember Hearing Baby Ranks on the MAS FLOW album singing "Motivate Al Baile" which was catchy, sounded tough to da core on sound systems, and lyrics were top notch. I havent heard very much from Baby Ranks over the past few years but everything i have heard is not bad...UNLESS I've missed tracks that were never released and could have been downloaded.

This is an album many have been waiting for, but does it deliver? Most songs from Baby Ranks were not very hardcore, raunchy lyrics, and most were produced with excellent beats and inventive original lyrics. The beats and his voice always blended so well to produce the right sound effect to get your head bobbing, and thats what sold him. From the Get-Go the first track "El Amor Se Fue" is a love geared song which he wrote so perfectly and sung perfectly with Angel Lopez. It contains a slower reggae pace. "Suave" has a tight reggaeton beat with the right lyrics for the theme, describing how a lady just dances slow and sensual in the right ways. Great party song if I'd Say so. "Bailando" with a catchy reggae/tropical sound to it for a nice breezy summer day. "Luna Llena" with a tight Bachata track with very good emotional lyrics and one hell of test for BR's voice which Holds up. La India is on this track contributing her beautiful voice. One of the best tracks is not the reggae tracks but "Confundido Estoy" which was such a great concept of a love song for Divino and BR to approach. Its a song to listen to in peace and soak in, its very well made. "Detras De Ti", "Noche De Perreo", and "De Fuga" contain some hot party beats with great displays of BR's lyricism and Production values. The others are not bad and well made works of art. "Enamorado De Ti" will truely throw a curve ball at you for a man that we know for reggaeton, its like this treads into the realm of Alternative Rock.

Hearing a round of this album will leave you thinking, "Hold Up this sounds weird, this isnt Baby Ranks." I dont believe Reggaeton is his only calling, this gentleman knows he has talent and on this album he throws a curve ball to show he has verstility and the voice to produce good music for our ears. Its a Different project theme that Baby Ranks chose for an album that he probably has been dying to drop. Baby Ranks has solid, very well done lyrics for an album with different sounds and tones and if listened to in appreciative manner it can be considered unique and on top of its quality. On a rating system critical for reggaeton its either hit or miss for those of us who appreciate new concepts or just like that general reggaeton flow. Considering Baby Ranks as a BEST NEW artist contender on the Grammy's would be a better way of classifying him, because i dont believe we can brand this album as true Latin/Urban its like he pushing into other genres. On a scale where I base Latin/Urban artists I'd give this a 7.5 out 10 because it is one hell of a solid piece of work, but not what im used to. Like I said its not going to appeal to everyone and its going to make ppl do a double take, but appreciate this because he has alot of talent and alot more to offer to Latin Urban.

Aqui tenemos un CD bien variado y con todo swing urbano. Este es un album para coleccionar y tenerlo en la casa, el carro, el ipod y que las emisoras lo toquen a menudo!!!!!

Bien echo baby ranks...

A mi me gusto bastante este album. Como muchos otros que escribieron sobre el album, yo habia escuchado la musica del mayormente por sus contribuciones con Lunytunes. Este album refleja un estilo distinto personal de el, y no el estilo de Lunytunes.

Es mas como un album de reggaeton romantico, si tal cosa puede ser posible. Las liricas son muy limpias, por la tanto a diferencia de otros del reggaeton es mejor para tocarlo con la familia entera. Ademas de eso el trata de mezclar varios sonidos no muy comunes en el reggaeton como el de la soca de las antillas menores y la cumbia de Colombia. Esa experimentacion fue mejor hecha que la que Tego hico en "El Abayarde Contrataca". El soca es particularmente parecido al reggaeton asi que no se siente forzado. Tambien toca par de canciones que suenan mas como si fuesen tocadas por alguien como Julio Iglesis, si Julio el papa de Enrique. Mientras no esperaba eso, terminaron gustandome tambien.

Ahora no todo es experimentacion y romanticismo. Canciones como "Fire" y "Detras de Ti" son tipicas de la guillaera del genero. Pero ni en esas canciones hay nada del negativismo que es tan comun en el reggeaton, hay un sentimiento de felicidad de principio a fin. Y yo no tengo ningun problema con que se pierda ese sentido callejero tan comun en el reggaeton para tocar algo que es mas relajante y feliz.

Well to tell you the truth am very disapointed with the cd. I was expecting way more from his first production, there is a big difference from the old Baby Ranks and the one on this cd. He should've stay with the same style that made him so famous instead of transforming his music and style. I understand that in this bussiness is really important to keep innovating and making fresh music but you can't forget about what your fans want and like to hear. I'll be waiting for your next production, hopefully it'll be better than the first one.

Baby Ranks has always been one of my favorite artists, I've been waiting for this cd for a long time. The first time through the cd i had to skip a few tracks, it had some good songs but it was not what I was expecting. I still gave it a 4 out of 5 just because Baby Ranks is one of my favorite artists. Its one of those cd's you just listen to the same songs over and over and skip everything else, I would have liked to see some old Baby Ranks with Divino type songs(like in the DJ Goldy cd).

Baby Ranks' tracks on the various Luny Tunes records were usually the best on the albums. So I have been anticipating this release since Mas Flow dos. It's very disappointing to say the least; it seems as if they were aiming straight for the radio and women's hearts with nearly every track. Somebody tell BR that this is a recipe for a one hit wonder, cause you have to appeal to ladies, but the guys have to want to listen to it as well. See 50 cent. If my wife put this on I'd make her turn it off.

BABY RANKS IMPRESSED ME WITH HIS VERSATILITY ON HERE, LEAVING OUT LUNY AND DJ BLASS IS HARD, BUT HE PULLD IT OFF. WITH BACHATA, REGGAETON, REGGAE, COLUMBIAN, ROCK, AND RNB BEATS ON HERE. HE THUGGD IT OUT, N WHO DOESNT WANNA HEAR HIM SING! THE MAN IZ ONE OF THE BEST VOCALISTS THAT I KNOW! GO AHEAD RANKS, YOUR ALBUM WAS BETTER THAN DIVINOZ IN CERTAIN THYNGZ, BUT HE CAN SING A LIL BETTER. KANT WAIT TILL U GET BACK ON UR REGGAETON THOUGH, KUZ A KILLA!
