I took this book with me on a missions trip to Mexico. I ended up sitting on the ground reading the New Testament part of the book out loud to kids, or they took turns reading with me. It was just the right reading level for the 7-12 year olds I was with, and just the right reading level for my not-so-great Spanish. The New Testament portion was an excellent summary of the life of Jesus. This is a great read aloud for very young children (age 2 and up) or a read alone for beginning readers. An excellent first exposure to the major stories of the Bible.

I agree with the review I just read. I also used the Biblia Ilustrada on a couple different mission trips in Mexico. On one of the trips, I used the bible as a basis for daily bible lessons, and the kids loved it! The illustrations are bright and colorful, and the text is simple enough for even younger children to understand and enjoy.
