MORE substantial than they appear: good weight to them. Have gotten compliments and "where'd you get these?" from at least seven friends so far. Full 8" in height -and- shape lets you use for either whites or reds (and mousses, parfaits, etc.). Was hesitant to buy - figured NO 'good' glasses would be THIS inexpensive....and I was wrong.
