The pretty color caught my eye first. I am sooooo tired of black, white and stainless steel. The second thing I noted was the
simplicity of operation. We are simple folk. We don't really need
or want all the bell's and whistles that are often added. We just
want to pour water in one end and get coffee out of the other end.
Included is a reusable filter basket. You do have to remember to
turn it off after pouring your last cup--it does not turn off by
itself. I like the transparent water reservoire and the snug fit
of the pot to the drip spout--less splatter. Add to that a great
price and the fun of having an Italian import 8-). Fast shipping
and a friendly company to deal with. What's not to like?

After using a french press for the last 5 years (and breaking them regularly), I decided I wanted to go back to using an electric drip coffee maker. I knew I needed something small and space-efficient for my little Brooklyn kitchen. This one seemed like a good bet - it makes 10 cups and the whole unit is significantly smaller than other 10-cup coffee makers I considered. Even with shipping, it only cost about $20. For that price, I was willing to give it a try.

What I like:
super small and cheap
cute design, cool colors
comes with a reusable coffee filter, but you can use the paper ones instead if you want
decent coffee pot that doesn't spill everywhere when you try to pour (had this problem with other coffee makers)
has auto-shutoff thing so that when you remove the pot, it stops dripping
white plastic does not seem to stain easily
comes apart easily for cleaning

What they could improve upon:
components are a bit cheap - have to press the "on" button a little hard, plastic is a little chintzy.


Overall, I'm giving it a 4 out of 5 because at this price, it's amazing they can make a working coffee maker at all. I used it for the first time this morning and in my opinion, it did make an acceptable cup of coffee. My coffee was hot and it tasted like coffee should. Unlike another reviewer's experience, the swing-out basket on mine works fine and seems to close securely. I've had cheap coffee makers in the past and they all have their annoying quirks. I don't think this one is any worse than the ones I had before. The things I like about it far outweigh the things I don't, so in my opinion, this one is a keeper. Also, there's a 15 month warranty on it, so if it breaks, I can basically send it back and get a new one for the cost of shipping. If you have pretty simple expectations and just want a coffee maker that won't cost too much money or counter-space, this is a good bet.

I purchased this coffee maker for my sister because of her love of all things brightly colored. While the coffee maker is somewhat flimsy, it does the trick for the price. She likes "simple" and this machine is that. The only real complaint I have is that I was expecting a coffee pot with a more brilliant blue color as per the picture and the actual product is dark to the point of almost being navy blue.

This item is trash. Spend an additional dollar or two and get a different coffee maker. Prepare to be heckled for the horrible space ship look as well.

Its really a cute and inexpensive coffee-maker that does prepare decent coffee pretty quickly.Like in all coffe-makers in this price-range, the coffee almost instantaneously prepared comes out tepid/warm and NOT hot. Since I like it scalding hot,so I just go ahead, pour myself a cup with sugar and creamer and THEN I heat it separately to scalding hot :-þ

The product brews coffee, but it is very cheap looking. I have to put a paper filter in the lifetime filter compartment, because I had to use twice the amount of coffee so it wouldn't taste like water because the water flowed through it so fast. I can not turn the machine on or off with out it sliding all over my counter. I have to hold it in order to push the on/off switch. Also, when you remove the pot, the filter compartment moves to the side, spilling coffee all over the place. Price was okay, but product is less than I expected. Won't buy it again. I guess you get what you pay for.

OK, I bought this for a "traveler" - I have as high-end machine in my kitchen, but I often need to take a coffee maker to a meeting or church function, and this fit the bill. It's absolutely no-frills, and not a high-end coffee maker, but it does use a cone filter (which I really prefer) and is easy enough to clean and pack up. And, it serves its purpose - makes decent coffee.

I WAS BEGINNING TO THINK I WOULD NEVER FIND A COBALT BLUE COFFEE MAKER AFTER MY LAST ONE QUIT. I PURCHASED THIS ONE BECAUSE OF THE COLOR AND EVEN THOUGH IT'S ALSO WHITE, THERE'S ENOUGH BLUE THAT IT BLENDS WELL WITH MY OTHER APPLIANCES. IT MAKES GREAT COFFEE AND DOESN'T TAKE A LOT OF COUNTER SPACE. I'VE BEEN USING IT FOR ALMOST A YEAR AND LIKE IT ENOUGH THAT I DECIDED TO ORDER ANOTHER ONE FOR A SPARE! CAN'T BEAT THE PRICE, EITHER.

adorable design, but this is a piece of junk. i used it literally about 4-5 times before the carafe broke. the glass just cracked. it is super fragile. and there is no way i'm buying a replacement carafe. getting a new coffee maker altogether.

The title says it all! Yes, it is cheap, and yes it is pretty. That's where the positive ends, in my opinion. Like hot coffee? Look elsewhere. Like the swing-out coffee container to close well? Look elsewhere. I only wanted a basic coffee maker so didn't need bells and whistles. Will it make coffee? Sure, just don't set your expectation beyond mediocre, and you'll be fine.

Unfortunately I purchased this for my daughter-in-law for Christmas, so after just two times of making coffee I knew she would not be using this long term. I then apologized and ordered her a more expensive coffee maker from Amazon for which she is very happy and so am I. I wish I could be more positive on this unit, but it simply fails as an acceptable coffee maker in my opinion. For reference I will say I've used many different coffee makers and usually discard them in a year and buy another. I've used other cheap models that work. This one doesn't and all the pretty pictures of it will not make the coffee better.
