I read the reviews before i ordered the wand, not sure if this was a good deal or not. I am glad I took the chance. Most of the goodies in the paperwork are not in English and i think the biggest (possibly only) problem. The clamps breaking when taking off and on the accessories seems the biggest complaint. The main directions on how to take it off and on are not in English nor explained, you see a few arrows with words. I have the steel wand the rest of the parts are heavy duty plastic.
I read the problems and took the time to try to understand what could be going wrong with breaking and anything that could result in the problems I read in the reviews posted here. The clamps are plastic but i can't see how metal would make them last longer. The most important part is you must align the arrows and just push down to attach. The top arrow that points down must be in the middle of the bottom arrows pointing towards each other. It easily pushed down and clamps together when you align the arrows. Taking it apart is just a matter of twisting them apart like you would open a jar and i think with doing both of those correctly as I listed, the clamps will never snap off. It's a very high end product for 1/2 the price or less of comparable wands. The "food processor" attachment is twice the size of the other brands and that makes it nice. Only time that would be a problem would be if you used it specifically for smaller amounts (i.e. grinding coffee beans for 1 cup of coffee) but you could easily get the smaller chopper from Cuisinart if you absolutely need that 2-3 tablespoons of food grounded or chopped. Switching out the blades isn't hard either. The only thing i see that would make a person think they are not easily done is you are working with very sharp blades. That isn't a problem, you just understand how it slides off and on then you can do it easily without any fear of cutting yourself. The lever is awkward to use but there doesn't seem to be an easier way I can think of and it does work and take seconds to do. This is the best one i have seen by far for the price. I just hope it lasts as long as i think it will. I think all the negative things i read were just people doing things wrong because of the lack of specific instructions but anyone with decent intelligence can figure out how to work the wand assuming this is not the very first time operating one. If it is then, if you have any simple ability to think problems through it should be simple enough to work out. You might even be able to find their web site and use a translator to understand what you can't read (i didn't look but that is possible alternate way to understand the wand)

I've gone through maybe 5 hand blenders. They have lasted me 2 years at the most. I burn the motors up with heavy blending, mostly crushing ice cubes to make smoothies. The last one, a 350 watt Oster didn't even make it through a year.
I've had this one for about a month, and it shows every sign of going the distance. I haven't been gentle with mine. Its two best features are the 550 watt motor which hardly even gets warm during the heaviest lengthiest chores, and the highly convenient speed control. The changable four bladed cutter is also very nice. Even the mini food processor which I initially took to be a throw-away, has turned out to be well-designed and useful. I recommend that when you first try it out, that you run it on the speed control at a setting of 2. In the highest setting of 5 or Turbo mode, it will tug on your hand so strongly while blending that it may be hard to resist. It is not excessively noisy. Timid people may even find it a little scary at its highest setting due to its ability to tug on its handle during heavy blending. Due to its ability to blend thick mixtures at maximum speed, you may find that it blends familiar items so that they are smoother than you have ever experienced. It can definately make quick work of just about any blending task. Like most other small home appliances this one is made in China. It's a little odd to me that it is marketed by a company that seems to be headquartered in Venezuela. It appears from some other comments that they stand behind their products and do have a viable US presence. 15 months is a pretty warranty for a product like this. The portion of the instructions that are in English are a lot skinnier than the ones in Spanish, but what does it take to run a blender and food processor? Just an update to say that its getting to be a year later, and my blender is still working great. I just did a small job with the food processor acessory and it worked like a charm. It is still crushing big ice cubes and blending thick smoothies without complaints or smells.

Great so far! I make Hot Pepper sauce every year and needed something with enough power to be able to grind up the pepper skins and make the sauce very smooth. Even my Cuisinart food processor has trouble with this task, plus it would leak hot sauce everywhere. Just got this and tried it on 2 different tasks. 1) I made a blended ice drink that was so thick it wouldn't pour! 2) I used it to grind some of my leftover pepper skins and vinegar. It worked very well but didn't grind up the seeds. Probably asking for too much there. Seems like it really has 550 watts.
I was nervous about buying a brand with no reviews, however I checked out their website and they have a 15 month warranty and their other products got good reviews. All the labels on it are in spanish with a small user guide in english. I compared it to the $100 Kitchenaid and I like this one better, especially at only $40. All the components seem well made and are stainless steel.

Let me start by saying that I had a Kitchenaid immersion blender for a few years before the blade recenty broke off into my protien shake. That made me nervious so I made the switch to another brand and this appeared to be of the same quality. I have had it about a week so far and so this might be considered "first impressions".
The quality feel just isn't there that the Kitchenaid had. The pieces dont snap together as smooth, the blades and attachemnts appear and feel a little on the cheap side and the motor doesn't feel like it runs quite as smooth either (all when compared to Kitchenaid). When under a heavy load, the motor has started "clicking" a little on two occasions, but I dont' smell anything, so all seems fine so far. I will say that the 4 prong blade cuts through frozen fruits more effectively than the standard (and only) blade on the Kitchenaid. The other blender would sometimes bounce around trying to get a good grip on what I threw in there and this one will chop right through it. I would guess that its the one serraded edge that cuts through better. Hopefully the better cutting action means less abuse to the blade. Although, time will tell if the blade will stand up to blending frozen fruit for as long as the Kitchenaid did. Overall I feel I will get some good use out of it, but I'm concerned more about its longevity. This doesn't feel like it will be my last immersion blender. I feel its priced about right at fourty bux, but if you don't plan to do "heavy" blending (frozen fruit) and won't use the attachments (I dont think I will use them much), I would probably recommend the Kitchenaid over this. If you think you will use it more often for smoothies and you will use all the attachments, then this will probably be a better value since the Kitchenaid blender with attachments is twice the price.

Pros:
This unit is solidly built. The quality of the motor is excellent, no burn smell or laboring like some units. The selection of blades is excellent as well as changing them. The cup they use on the end is a excellent design. One may not think this to be a factor however, after using a number of different blenders I find it is. Cons: The placement and depth of the switch is poor. I would think if the manufacturer did not want the user to run the motor for more than 5 - 15 seconds at a time they succeeded. It is difficult to hold the unit and keep the switch pressed, you really have to concentrate on doing so as well as keeping a tight grip. You also have to use the tip of your finger to turn the unit on because the switch is quite deep in the socket. The switch is covered with a rubber, or like, membrane and now has a hole starting in it because if the forgoing mentioned design. Overall: If you do not need the unit to run for more then a few seconds at a time this is the unit to by. If you need to keep the unit running for more than a few seconds your hand will get tired and your grip will slip. The same is true if you will need to move the unit around while holding the switch down. Excellent quality overall.

I purchased this in college after I missed using my Mom's Braun hand blender at home.
I hadn't been able to find an affordable, but powerful hand blender until I came across this company. With the good reviews, I bought it immediately. I used it for about a month and found that it did everything I wanted it to do. It was more than plenty powerful. I was a little disappointed that warning labels and most documentation was not in English. The different blades provided are supposed to be attached to the blender depending on what you are blending. It's a little difficult to attach and remove the blade with the small metal hand tool they've provided. So, I usually just usually leave the grinder blade on at all times - seems to work well with most foods. The only poor design of the product is the mechanism used to attach the different attachments (e.g. the whip) to the blender. It's not very intuitive and takes a while getting used to because of the awkward design. There are three plastic 'tabs' that are used to secure the blender with its attachments. After the first month, one of these tabs broke off when I was attaching the chopper. Very disappointed with the quality of the plastic, I called customer support. They said it was a common problem and that they would ship a new unit out immediately with a prepaid return label. I could use the return label to ship the broken unit back to them. They also said they would do this as many times as necessary (all at no cost) during the 15 months the product is under warranty. Now that's a pretty amazing warranty service! The customer representative also said that the 9080 model (metallic model) is a little less powerful and more expensive. However it still uses the same plastic tabs inside which cause the same problem. She said it does happen a little less in that model, but I'm not sure of that. Hope this helps!

I was pleased and surprised to observe and be able to detect the quality of the powerful motor, solid construction, tight fitting parts of this unit. Well built, solid, and easy to operate.
Tall lower main blending section -- which is detachable for cleaning -- is 9 1/2 inches tall (24 cm) for doing some serious blending in some large bowls. The detachable lower section is great in case I need to chuck it into the dishwasher. Also, the removable blending rod, food processor and whip (all separate pieces) are convenient for switching between jobs for some recipes where I need a couple different ''tools''...I didn't choose it for these because most of the other 'wands' we have had sent some rather flimsy 'bonus' gear. The 'other parts' of this kit are as solidly built as the main housing. The bonus parts of this unit are in reality serious additions to it. We will probably toss this into the RV for vacations as it is several tools in one. This would make a great wedding gift for a couple just starting out, or a great scale-back unit for RV or retirement homes. We lost our Braun which we'd used without issue for many years, and I tried a couple other brands which were underbuilt and flimsy and not well designed. The Miallegro 9090 is quite different...it is what every immersion blender should aspire to be. When the Miallegro showed up and turned out to have 4 blades, and 6 speeds (5 speeds plus turbo mode), a separate mixer, and a separate food processor housing, it was obvious this is a serious unit. The 550 Watt motor has superior get-up-and-go power from any other unit I've tried, and this is a non-commercial unit for household use! It's nice to know that someone is still building decent non-commercial home units. Despite this being the Christmas season (2010) free delivery from Amazon was still only 5 days It's good to know good products still exist...

My Miallegro arrived yesterday, and I was pretty nervous - I had an immersion blender for the better part of 15-plus years and I loved it and used it everyday!!!! When it finally gave out - I started shopping around....read a variety of reviews and started looking for another. In the past week I have purchased not one but five (5) different (national brand names) immersion blenders and all five did not deliver the performance I was able to obtain with my old immersion blender so they went back to the various stores. I found the Miallegro, by accident and am really delighted. This is a tremendous product, but not for the "faint of heart". It's powerful, and yes, a bit heavier than the competition, but it deliveres an incredible end result if you are chopping, blending, mixing or pureeing foods.
I am thrilled with the Miallegro, it's easy to clean and provides a great deal of options with one unit. I recommend this to those who are passionate about food preperation.

This machine would pulverize nut shells if you were too lazy to crack them. In a smoothie I have used 2 large ice cubes, some frozen fruit, a little cranberry juice, Prograde® protein powder, and a scoop of natural fiber supplement -- then 1/2 of an orange -- everything but the ends & seeds. It takes about 30 sec to completely grind everything up.
A pit was missed in some fresh cherries my wife cut up and froze. The Miallegro Miallegro 9090 MiTutto 550 Watt, Immersion Hand Blender, Professional-style kept sounding like it was still grinding so I left it on for a few more seconds. I found only 2 - 3 tiny pieces in the bottom and had to look real close to see how she was trying to kill me. These things are like rocks if you've ever bit into one. All this one (or 2?) did was give me a little extra fiber. It does have a large (2-5/8") business end. I only wish I could find more 16 - 20 oz cups (reusable, sturdy, BPA-free) that were at least 3-1/2" in dia. on the bottom. That way there would be only one container to wash. That's just for smoothies & other drinks, though. Stick it in a pot of cooked potatoes and mash those babies in a flash. You can imagine the zillions of other uses. (If not, call your local Italian cook.) Speaking of washing, none of this is immersible except the included food chopper attachment* (which I've not yet used). It's easy to hold it over the sink and use hot water and the sink sprayer to clean it out. Wipe with a soft dish rag with a little detergent if you're germophobic or have been grinding raw meat. The highly polished stainless steel comes clean quickly if you do this right away. I hold it over the container, UNPLUG IT, then carry it -- still over the container -- to the sink. Compare this to washing the six parts of a regular blender pitcher. Though the cutting blades (3 different types) are recessed, this could do terrible damage if a body part got in there. Definitely hang it on the wall (bracket supplied) out of the reach of children. Of course, this is true of all hand-held blenders. Please never leave one plugged in. It's real easy to push the ON button when you pick it up. Another caution -- until you've used it a bit, put it on the lowest speed, keep off the Turbo button, and hold on tight to your Miallegro and the container. This is not the kitchen tool for the faint of heart. *It also has a wire whisk attachment with a lower gear ratio to run slower.

This hand mixer works well and it's easy to switch the attachments and blades. The plastic tabs that hold the attachments into place work for now but I can see how they might break like other reviewers reported, especially since you have to remove the blender atachment just to change blades (a design feature that could be remedied). I like the adjustable speed options, the turbo option, and the multiple blade option. The motor seems plenty powerful. I got this mainly to mix protein shakes and for that purpose it works great. The blending beaker provided is a little on the small side but it works for my shakes and has a nice pour spout for spill free pouring. I have other stand type blenders for heavier workloads like ice and wouldn't expect this type of machine to hold up for those purposes. I think this would work well in any home kitchen and am happy with my purchase.
