This review is from: Top 10 Miami and the Keys (EYEWITNESS TOP 10 TRAVEL GUIDE) (Paperback)
I have 3 different top 10 books and I really like all the information they have in them. They have information on everything from places to go , places to stay and where to eat. Great for vacation preparation.

IF YOU WANT TO READ THE SAME THING A THOUSAND TIMES !,
This review is from: Top 10 Miami and the Keys (EYEWITNESS TOP 10 TRAVEL GUIDE) (Paperback)
Warning: guide only for cars ! I am coming from Europe and I am used to travel alone and to use public transportation: forget about it with this guide ! It is not easy to move in Miami without a car, I agree, but it's not impossible ! This guide doesn't even say a word about it ! The maps are incomplete, I got lost all the time. The contents suck: it repeats the venues at least 3 times (once in "Top 10", once in the time of activity: "museums", "architecture", "historic sites", etc; once again when the area is concerned), it tries to address everybody (except pedestrians): children, gay and lesbian, superficial or rich people, nightbirds, romantic couples, etc; and, consequently, eventually does not address anybody. The information about the venues are incomplete: the addresses, opening hours or admission fees are often missing (you'd better have access to internet). Finally, it gives obvious or useless information. You have the impression to get a lot of information when it actually does not say anything really interesting!
