I purchased this to help me portion my food, and am quite happy with it. I'm generally weighing things about below the 1 lb level, and the .05 oz increments are sufficient. Handy to accurately determine serving sizes

I had this item on my wish list & my sister got it for me for Christmas. While it may not be the most fancy scale ever made it is well suited for life in the kitchen. The plastic base is molded to be smooth. Which can make a product "feel cheap", but that should make it easier to clean in the event something gets spilled on it. I played around weighing various things in my kitchen & it seems accurate enough.

I can only come up with two negative things about it.
1) Out of the 5 feet 3 are hard plastic & the 2 rubber ones at the front do not grip well. With a 5lb container of flour on the scale it could be slide around the counter rather easily. Which may or may not be a bad thing depending on what you want. Personally I would prefer it not to move.
2) Looking at the base of the top where it goes into the scale it seems like it might not be that strong. If I were to place something 10-11 lbs on it I would want to make sure I didn't do it way off center. That wouldn't provide an accurate measurement anyway. So I do not thing I will have a problem there.

I'm getting great service from my scale. I like the ability to tare and use various units of measurement and the precision that it offers. I use if for crafting and shipping as well as baking and it handles all of it well.
