4.0 out of 5 stars Small, light and effective
This is my second try at a bluetooth transmiter from a 3.5 audio jack. Compared to the first attempt, the Blubridge was a dream come true. I was able to pair to my Plantronics Voyager 855 Stereo Bluetooth Headset with no problem. The first device that I plugged it into after charging via the micro ubs charger was my ipod. The sound was loud and clear. I then plugged it...

3.0 out of 5 stars Not for TVs
I ordered this item because I wanted to be able to watch TV in bed while my wife slept. Its great product but not for watching TV or video. There is a delay in the sound, it's like watching an old Godzilla movie, the people's mouth move and then you hear their voices. I tried it on three other TVs my laptop and my Zen video player and got the same results. I guess...

I then plugged it into my netbook and watched some streaming video, no problems. I also have been using it at work with my work PC to listen to streaming audio while I move wirelessly around the office. I do start loosing connectivity after about 15-20 ft, but I only need it to work within that range for my needs. My favorite feature is that I can use it while I have it charging via the usb connection. You just need to turn it back on after you plug it in, as it turns off when it connections to the charger. Another weakness is the user manual is pretty brief. I have serveral questions about why the light blinks the way it does, but it works great. So with few complaints I give this device 4 stars with a strong recommendation.

I am a talk radio junkie. From the time I leave the house in the morning until I get home at night, I listen to talk radio, and have for years. Until recently, I listened on a pretty standard clock radio that I had on my desk. Well, the Powers That Be here in my office decided that anything audible was no longer permitted, and also that taking things out of your ear whenever someone approached (i.e. headphones) was "unprofessional." After three weeks of silence and not knowing what was going on in the world, I started getting desperate. And then it occurred to me that the people who instituted the policy LOVE their Bluetooth headsets and probably wouldn't keep me from using one. So I bought one, and found this, and they linked up beautifully. The headset is hidden by my hair, and I've been secretly plugged in for more than two weeks, now. I can move freely about the office - the range is pretty good, though not enormous. The fidelity isn't great, but, for talk, it doesn't matter. So far, the lifespan has been adequate - I turn it off and plug it in for an hour at lunchtime, and it gets me through 8:00-5:00. The only thing I would have liked as a charger that actually plugs in so that I could turn off my computer, but that's a tiny gripe.

I wear hearing aids and recently "upgraded" to some new behind the ear ones with BT. I cannot use headphones with them, it just doesn't work. I was looking for something that I could use to listen to my mp3 player and to connect with my laptop when I watch shows on it at lunchtime at work. I found this and it is PERFECT for my needs. Paired right up with my hearing aids no problem and the sound is great. I highly recommend this item.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great product, January 27, 2010
This review is from: Miccus BluBridge Mini-Jack: Bluetooth Music Transmitter adds Bluetooth ability to any Non-Bluetooth Audio Source (BBMJ-02) (Electronics)
So I needed a Bluetooth adapter that would transmit stereo from my laptop and iPod nano to my Bluetooth headphones. I found this little guy and decided to give it a try. It paired easily to my Motorola headphones (S9HD) and I can easily switch it back and forth between my iPod and laptop without having to pair again to my headphones.
Late at night is momma's time and I get to listen to my shows (sorry I'm a Colbert junkie) streaming from the internet. The thing works great from my laptop to my headphones for all sorts of things including Hulu, Youtube, Comedy Central etc. I can enjoy music and content without waking the kids in the other room. The reception is pretty good, even as I move into the bathroom from the bedroom, they stay connected. Not sure what that is in distance but it works great for what I need it for.

I appreciate that the battery charges via a mini USB port. Very convenient because it uses the same connector at my headphones which means I can use my Motorola wall charger to also charge the mini-jack.

I tried the Sony Ipod Bluetooth Transmitter.
I tried the Rocketfish Ipod bluetooth Transmitter

This is the only transmitter that paired with either my Samsung wep500
or the Callpod Dragon V2.

Both of these models of Bluetooth headset are older so maybe I shouldn't fault
Sony or Rocketfish but fact of the matter is that theirs wouldn't work and this transmitter hooked up
effortlessly.

Good features
1.Because it carries it's own charge it doesn't drain the Ipod batteries.
2 It bends outwards it is about the width of my Nano 2g and only makes it longer.
3. You control the sound volume from the Ipod.
4. It uses a standard micro usb port to charge so I can use my callpod charger and my motorola
charger.
5. It sounds really clear.
6. Used with an Ipod it is really loud I actually am using it at 3/4 volume.
7. It pairs with older model Bluetooth Headsets that Sony and RocketFish wouldn't recognize.

Bad feature.
Another device to recharge.

1.0 out of 5 stars Simply does not work, June 25, 2011

I place a great deal of credibility in other customer's reviews, so hopefully mine will help others as well.

I bought the Blubridge transmitter and receiver both so I could listen to a portable DVD player wirelessly with any pair of headphones. The units were easy enough to setup and pair (obtain a common bluetooth frequency so they could communicate with each other). Unfortunately, if the transmitter and receiver were more that a few inches away from each other, the sound began to cut in and out and became very choppy. There were no physical obstructions between the devices and I tried multiple headsets that work fine when plugged directly into the DVD player.

I will say that Amazon was great about the return and I received a full refund. I am typically hesitant to buy electronics online, but I was impressed with the ease of the return.

This was my experience. I hope others have a better one, as I think it is a great idea.

I needed a wireless ear bud for work so I could listen to AM Radio. No one is upgrading that kind of thing anymore. This little guy paired right to my 2XX Plantronics Bluetooth from my phone and I can plug it in to anything. (TV/Laptop/The important one AM Pocket Radio) Now it doesn't enable the Mic function on my Bluetooth but I knew that from the get go, it is only made for headphones so it works great as an ear bud and you can't talk back to the radio anyway. Now I can listen to Glenn Beck without getting tangled in the wires while I work. I don't have to worry about any wires breaking and shorting out so I lose sound. It held a charge for me for a 9 hour day constant play and was still going when I plugged it in at the end of the day so I don't know how long it actually will last for me but it is still new we will have to wait and see. All in all easy to use, Paired easily, sounds great, didn't notice any lag in the sound while in my truck with both radios on the same station.

3.0 out of 5 stars Decent sound, tricky to pair, expensive, January 19, 2010

This review is from: Miccus BluBridge Mini-Jack: Bluetooth Music Transmitter adds Bluetooth ability to any Non-Bluetooth Audio Source (BBMJ-02) (Electronics)
Initially I tried the JayBird Bluetooth Adapter for MP3 Players (Black) cause it had decent ratings - but it didn't come with a charger so couldn't use it. So after looking at all the other adapters on Amazon - all of which had terrible reviews- I thought I'd give this no-name brand a try. It's more expensive than the JayBird so I was hopeful it would sound great. Sadly that is not the case. There is _significant_ static when paired with my SD-9 HDs. The same headphones sound fantastic when paired with my computer, laptop and phone. I tried a couple different audio sources in case it was the plug but there's static even when it's not plugged in to any audio source.

Pairing was also a bit tricky. Most bluetooth devices follow a pretty common convention - hold the power button down for an extended period and it starts to flash and pair with other devices nearby. This one is no different _but_ it starts to flash after about 3 seconds holding down the power button indicating that it's doing "something". Turns out something is turning on. You have to continue holding down the power after it starts flashing until it flashes both red and blue. After doing it once its easy, but it can be confusing at first.

It still suits my needs as an adapter for my Zune during workouts. If I knew about the static ahead of time I'm not sure I would have paid the $60 for it.

I wanted this for TV viewing only. Some reviews said there was audio delay, meaning mouth movements on screen don't match audio (the mouth moves first, then you hear the words; extremely annoying). Others said they didn't experience delay, so I decided to try. Hugely regrettably, there will always be delay unless you are tapping directly into the video source, which is impossible with most cable top boxes. I ran mine into my receiver, and my Oticon hearing aids picked it up perfectly, sounded great, albeit the dreadful delay. One other note; one of the reviews was negative because of the syncing process. I too found it frustrating, but let me set the record straight. The directions say 'hold on/off button for 5 seconds to turn on', and later it says 'hold on/off button for 8 seconds to sync'. Well I turned the unit on, then held for 8 seconds and it kept just shutting off. The trick is, DON'T TURN THE UNIT ON FIRST. To sync, with the unit OFF, hold the on/off button for 8 seconds and you'll see the light flash indicating it's in sync mode. Voila! Can't wait for technology and/or Bluebridge to find a solution to audio delay from TV...
