MICHAEL JACKSON THE INTERVIEWS VOL. 2,
By "Dani girl" (CA, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Michael Jackson - The Interviews Vol 2 (DVD)
This dvd, "The Interviews Vol.2" came as part of the "Michael Jackson Mega box" set, which is what I purchased. The set included "The Interviews Vol. 1 and Vol.2", "Fans Camera Footage" and "Press Conferences & Store Signings".
Taken from my review on the Mega Box Set I'll give a brief description as to what's on "The Interviews Vol 2". Volume 2 you'll find: -footage from Michael's home videos -Martin Bashir interview (don't worry, it only shows positive outtakes) -1993 deposition in which Michael is extensively questioned on the subject of whether or not he was the one who actually wrote certain songs from his and The Jacksons albums. The interview lasted hours and you'll notice how drained and completely exasperated MJ became after being inundated with question after question (sometimes the same ones repeatedly). Michael had just had oral surgery and he was also not feeling well at the time so he was constantly sipping tea, water, fidgeting, playing with his sunglasses, doing anything he could to stay focused, to stay awake. I found myself sad at times and angry at others watching MJ try to keep his composure under such stress. They scrutinized his EVERY word.(This deposition was fairly lengthy, this is mostly what Vol.2 is about). Of the two interview dvds, I like Vol.1 the most. That one shows Michael when he is carefree, enjoying time with his llama, working on music in Ireland, doing things he loved most. This one (Vol.2) was good because I loved just being able to see hours of "Michael footage", but it also made me sad to see him unhappy.

My Personal Favourite,
By Patricia Gabriel (Tampa, FL) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Michael Jackson - The Interviews Vol 2 (DVD)
Hello,
I bought this DVD as a part of the Michael Jackson: Mega Box along with Michael Jackson: The Interviews, Vol. 1, Michael Jackson: Fan's Camera Footage and Michael Jackson: Press Conferences and Store Signings. I thought I'd give some brief information on the DVD. The back of the case says: "Michael Jackson the Interviews Vol 2 presents a 4 hour DVD programme showing various in depth interviews which reveal an honest and frank insight into why Michael became the world's biggest superstar. Presented together for the very first time is this essential collection which also includes - The King of Pop, a 32 page book. This newly written book is a tribute biography and discography which includes a special tribute section on the Staples Center memorial in Los Angeles. We have also transcripted a very recent seance where Michael is asked questions that were responded to using a Ouija board, a fascinating connection that will bring peace of mind to many of Michael's fans." This was in fact my favourite disc of the Mega Box set, so I would recommend it to everyone. It has some very personal and revealing footage with Michael that made me feel very warm and happy inside.

I felt bad for Michael while watching this,

This review is from: Michael Jackson - The Interviews Vol 2 (DVD)
I bought this DVD really just to be able to see and hear Michael, and hopefully to learn something new. The only part of the DVD I enjoyed was the first set of three, which was a part of his at home interview collection. That was fun to see. The other two parts consisted of 3.5 hours of part of Martin Bashir's interview and some sort of interrogation of Michael from 1993, regarding his music and whether or not he wrote or co-wrote them and if he stole any of them. It was ridiculous and sad to watch but I couldn't turn it off. I felt bad for Michael and wanted these lawyers to leave him alone. I wish this and any and all of those other horrible things said and done to him never happend. I would not recommend this volume. I did enjoy most of volume 2 however. He was a beautiful human being inside and out. I miss him greatly and will always love him. He will forever and always be in my heart.
