First of all, I am as big of a MJ supporter as you can get...I have website, and promotion to show that he innocent...however..that can't take away from the fact that THIS SUCKED!

First of all....why the hell did he put a CBS special on a DVD? I mean....leave it on TV, the special wasn't that good in the first place. It didn't show my favorite MJ material, that were number ones...including : We Are The World, Remember The Time, In The Closet, You Are Not Alone, Earth Song, and You Rock My World.!

Only 39 minutes!? How ridiculous.

The King of Pop has done it again..... he has released another new super DVD. The DVD contains a 44 minute CBS TV Special broadcast in the US over Xmas, music. It also contains live performances from the 'Off The Wall' and 'Thriller' eras.
The DVD also includes additional footage from the 'HIStory tour' and behind the scenes footage from the 'Wanna Be Starting Something' video.
Plus there are featured guest commentaries by Beyonce, Missy Elliot, Dick Clark, Carson Daly, Shaggy, Savion Glover, Pharrell Williams, Wyclef Jean and Quincy Jones.

Overall i think that "The One" is a really good DVD full with lot of good MJ stuff many new and thrilling experience for everyone..... And for all MJ fans all over the World: Buy it now and support Michael Jackson, it is a brilliant DVD by the King of Pop himself....

LOVE YOU MICHAEL

first of all, let me just make it clear that I'm a huge fan and supporter of michael jackson, but this DVD was not worth my money, because I already have it taped from when it aired on CBS. This DVD cut out a little bit of parts that were shown on CBS, but not on this. And there is no Wanna Be Starting Something video on this, I don't know what one of the previous reviewers is talking about. By the way, the special is completely amazing, the version on CBS anyways, I really needed to watch something like this during this hard time in michael's life. The only thing missing was more intense footage from the Dangerous, HIStory and Invincible eras, those eras were equally as good as the previous 3. Michael Jackson is a legend and will continue making great music in the future I hope.

This DVD compilation is a wonderful collection of Michael's top performances. It includes interviews from Beyonce, Quincy Jones, Missy Elliot, Wycliff, Dick Clark, George Clinton, Jill Scott, Mary J. Blige. Old clips from the Jackson 5 days up to 2004. This is more of a tribute DVD instead of having complete videos.

A few months ago when I watched that wonderful Number Ones TV Special program, I became greatly attacted by those wonderful words spoken by those Pop celebrities as well as those amazing footage of videos and live performance! Michael Jackson is truely the greatest, forever and for always!

I Strongly wish all his videos appeared in 1980s could be released as DVD format!

First of all I'd like to say that this DVD is fantastic. As said in a previous post, "If your not a fan - you surely will be after watching this". I was blown away by it's content, and I consider it to be one of the best MJ DVDs to come out so far.

To answer the question in the last post, it has the CBS Number Ones Special that was aired a few months ago. It has celebs such as Beyonce, Missy Elliot, Carson Daly, Pharell Williams, Quincy Jones and others sharing there opinions on MJ and how they've been affected. There is also A LOT of rare live footage from his concerts mixed with his music videos.

I highly recommend this DVD to anyone.

If you want to hear the jerks talk about Michael Jackson, you will find some on this disc.
But if you want to hear his music, watch him dances, you can only find scant piecemeals on this disc.
Its not even worth the postage.

I remember seeing this same special on CBS but couldn't get to my vcr to tape it. I'm glad to own the dvd though because I don't have to worry about commercials. I am a very big Michael Jackson fan. From Off the wall to now, my love is hear to stay. This dvd takes a look at what he has done through out his career. There are guest appearances by, "Beyonce, Quincy Jones, Dick Clark, & others." If you are not a Michael Jackson fan, you might be one after you see this dvd. I have been a Michael Jackson fan from the very beginning of his solo career. I loved to see the video for "One more chance." I wish they would play that on television more offten.

This is a great DVD to introduce other people to Michael. Cut in large close-up photos of Michael Jackson in old and new videos and photos, it runs 39 minutes. I think this DVD was a promotional he created to rebuff all his bad press during 2004, etc.. Here you get Michael as he is first becoming a solo artist, singing a simple little ballad, "Ben". Other artists such as Mary J. Blidge, Beyonce, Usher comment on Michael's singing style, showing later clips of Jackson singing the same songs again, around the age of 24, to his dead rat. It's very poignant.

You also get a huge sequence of one my fave songs of all time, "Rock With You". Stars make commentaries about his style of dressing and fashion, with close-up features of the videos, which are larger than life. He was gorgeous. Michael also starting the MOONWALK about this time (1982). I think this was when he looked the best!

That sequence was followed up with a piece focused on "Thriller", Michael's ability to sing, dance, costume... A little bit about how the dancing for "Thriller" evolved over time. He seems to be saying something about himself. A small focus on "Beat-It" is also here - the first time he grabbed his crotch, and also on the song "Bad" - scandalous! He sang with a wild-animal sort of cat-cry at the end of these songs... Fans were wild for it!

The last sequence is a tribute to himself! Called "The One", shows an amazing series of self-tribute, huge promotional videos from "History", with his new song. Song is a very long ballad about missing you - "The One".

The DVD gives a quick reference to a career, which ends for Jackson around the age of 43. Jackson fell into retirement around 2004-2005. Shocking, huge and beautiful.

How can something with the name 'Michael Jackson' on the front not be fantastic?! Its the best dvd ever for fans - the cover is great! If your not a fan - you surely will be after watching this, everyone praises Michael Jackson because he is a true genius and 1000% Innocent. The only thing he is guilty of is being a Legend!
