The 5th edition of Michael Jackson's Malt Whiskey Companion came out in 2004 by DK books. Fyi.

From the pictures, maps, and information he imparts, to the broad view he gives to not only single malts in Scotland and other countries as well, it's an excellent book for those just beginning to explore the world of single malts to those who are eager to keep up with what's going on in the ever-changing world of single malt scotch.
