Christopher Hilton, author of a number of Formula 1 biographies, wrote the best-selling Michael Schumacher: Controversial Genius, covering the driver's life from childhood to the contentious climax of the 1997 season, and Michael Schumacher: The Ferrari Years. He lives at Sawbridgeworth, Hertfordshire.
