Although they provided some traction I was not able to get out of the problem I was in.
I even woke up in the middle of the night with sore ribs after trying twice to put them on in dry, practice conditions; failing both times.
Consequently I won't be driving anywhere far with them as either they'll come off or cause other damage to the car from flapping around.
