5.0 out of 5 stars Extraordinary detail...
Terrific compilation of every village, hamlet, point-of-interest, and topographical feature, just about! Easy to "navigate" the maps, as Michelin has left nothing-to-chance. Whether motoring, or traveling by train, this guide will enlighten, add much to any journey, and answer the age-old question, "Are we there, yet?"

3.0 out of 5 stars if only highway numbers were marked as well as mileage
While this book of maps was generally helpful as we navigated through Germany, it was a constant cause of frustration that route numbers were difficult to find. pages were filled with mileage numbers, so we could figure out easily how far things were, but in moments when speed of locating something mattered, it was frustrating to have to search and search for route...

5.0 out of 5 stars An excellent atlas, April 17, 2009

This atlas has a very clear format which uses an attractive colouring scheme. There is no want of detail (villages and minor roads are clearly shown), yet the pages are not cluttered. The atlas is easy to use, easy to hold, and, importantly, the spiral binding is sturdy.
It really is the ideal road atlas of Germany, Benelux, Switzerland, Austria and the Czech Republic, and I heartily recommend it to anyone planning a road trip to the region.

While this book of maps was generally helpful as we navigated through Germany, it was a constant cause of frustration that route numbers were difficult to find. pages were filled with mileage numbers, so we could figure out easily how far things were, but in moments when speed of locating something mattered, it was frustrating to have to search and search for route numbers of even some of the largest roads. The separate map in the front which showed only major highways was consulted often.

Like all Michelin Guides, this one is very usuful to the foreign driver. Sometimes the GPS fails (it has already happened to me twice!), and, if you don't want to waste lots of your precious time trying to find the right way... always have a Michelin Guide close to you! It saves time, money and lots of stress.
