4.0 out of 5 stars Invaluable travelling companion......
We tour Spain every year, and the Red Guide is indispensable. Their standards are good, the information is accurate, and you can trust their recommendations. We tend to not overplan our trips, and the Red Guide makes it easy to find good, economical (or not!!) food and lodging anywhere in Spain.

My only gripe: the Restaurant in the Guggenheim Bilbao has...

The Amazon ad shows that this book is in English. It is NOT - it is written in Spanish and I know that because I ordered the book, and now I have to pay to return it. Amazon does not give you the option of telling them that their ad is incorrect. Buy this is you can read Spanish...it might be good!!

My only gripe: the Restaurant in the Guggenheim Bilbao has never been given a star, or much mention. It is definitely one-star material.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful guide, but no longer needed, October 10, 2011

I've used the M Red Guides for years--relied on them completely to find places to stay. But the last three road trips I've make in Europe I've bought Red Guides and never opened them (I just now donated Spain/Portugal and France to the hotel). The computer and celfone and navigation systems have made the Red Guides obsolete. I hate to say it, but it's true. If you don't have a nav or computer or a celfone along on your European trip, buy the M Red Guides.
