This is my second set of Michelin LTX and the only replacement tire I will put on my vehicles. These were purchased to replace a set of Goodyear Fortera's from the factory which lasted less than 38K and had a hard time keeping pressure (read any reviews online and you will find both to be very common issues) My previous set of Michelin LTX lasted for almost 80K with mostly highway driving and normal rotations. Also, this is a very quiet tire and the traction is excellent. I live in Western PA. where we can get a good bit of snow in the winters, I feel very confident on these, if you drive with respect to the road conditions these will get you where you are going safely. I found a great price here on Amazon with Free Shipping, I like to buy locally but couldn't pass up this deal. One more thing, when I received these tires they were less than 3 months from the date of production, it makes them even better to know that they didn't sit in a warehouse for months or years before hitting the road. Hope this helps!
I bought a Honda Ridgeline back in 2006, yesterday 1/2/2013 I finally had the factory tires replaced after 81,125 miles. The tires were getting pretty slick with little tread left, but I probably could have gotten another 5k-10k miles out of them. The tires from day one until I changed them were quiet and smooth. I have never had any issues out of them and like them so much so that I replaced them with the exact same model. Yes you can buy cheaper tires and save one or two hundred but with something as important as tires I think you want quality rather economy.
After getting the new tires installed there was a huge difference in handling of the truck, yes same tires but I felt like the turning was more spot on.
Great tires, like I said they are rated at 60k but I got over 81k and if you read honda ridgeline forums you'll find a lot of people are hitting the 80k mark before changing them and others have even reported getting up to 140k.
Highly recommend, I'm on my second set. These are smooth, quiet and grip the road.
I have these tires installed on my 2001 Lincoln Navigator. They presently have over 66,000 miles on them and are just about down to the wear bar. They have been an excellent tire for daily use. If there is any complaint, I've noticed as they have worn the traction on wet pavement is not good. With very little effort they will break traction from lateral acceleration, i.e. slide sideways.
Considering this vehicle is over 3 tons, I have to admit this is exceptional mileage from a tire. They corner well and the white lettering has maintained its color and clarity. I rotate them faithfully every 8,000 miles and have their balance checked at each rotation. Also maintaining air pressure is imperative if you want to ensure their long life.
The Continental tires that came on this vehicle were terrible. Twice I had a tire bubble up where the tread separated from the carcass. I'm sure you remember the SUV fatalities about ten years ago from tire blow outs.
It just boils down to the fact it's hard to beat Michelin tires.
Excellent tire. I have over 57,000 miles on them on my 2009 Ridgeline and not showing too much wear. Rotated the every 5000 miles with each oil change which I'm sure makes a huge difference in wear. Gas mileage has been in the 23 range on the highway. I would recommend these tires to everyone. After all, safety and quality always count.
