Tough tire,

Yes, this was a bit difficult to install on the rim. But, your getting a thick, strong tire. I bought my first one from a bike shop, to replace my rear tire, that was always getting flats. Then the 2nd tire from Amazon, because the price was so much cheaper. Now I have front and back with the Pilot trackers. You may notice the tire will be a bit heavier than most. But, what do you want? A flat tire or a good reliable bike ride. Looks like I will be using these tires from now on. Have not had a flat, so far. But, just to look and feel these tires, you know they are made well. My tires before, were too thin and flimsy. The Pilot tracker is thick and firm.
I also took the advise, from a reviewer. Before, installing this tire, let it lay out in the sun for an hour. It will go on much easier.

I read a lot of reviews before deciding to buy these tires for my cafe bike. I was expecting them to add a LOT of weight, but was pleasantly surprised that they were no more than double as heavy as the really thin ones I was tossing out. I expect these to last as long as the bike has life left in it, so unless I blow a tube, they should be good for years without a rebuild.Indeed, the clincher sidewall is tough to put on unassisted, but with a tire lever (or a wide flathead screwdriver if you are SUPER careful), they go on in a snap (<--pun intended). No problems with road debris for me, these things are TOUGH. I'm very happy 6 months after buying these!

City Pilot,
This review is from: Michelin Pilot Tracker 700x 35 Black tire w/Reflective Stripe (Sports)
I have a Motobecane hybrid with carbon fork. I weigh 220 and average 20 miles per day. I run the 700 x35 on the rear and 700 x 28 on the front. My bike is best suited for paved trails and came with 700 x 25. Before using the Michelin City Pilots I averaged one flat a week using a variety of reputable tires. The Michelin City Pilot is tough and a good choice for the biker seeking an all purpose durable tire capable of handling a variety of difficult conditions -- pot holes, gravel, and goat heads. If you are running paved trails and roads you will probably want a smaller, lighter and faster tire. If you occasionally encounter gravel and rural trails, these tires will slow you down a little, but they will get you there. I have a Bottecchia carbon fiber road bike and run armadillos. In my opinion Armadillos are the best puncture resistant tire for paved roads and higher speeds. The City Pilot is tough tire for the biker who occasionally gets of the pavement and needs a bigger and tougher tire.
