An excellent travel guide for Scandinavia. Address major cultural highlights and customs for each Scandinavian country. Extremely helpful in navigating the major highlights and sights.

Future editions new to include Estonia the newest travel spot.

Page 421 of the guide is the start of the Finland section. At least it should be!

Only on page 421 the Michelin Guide provides the following information to start You off in your quest to learn about Finland:

Capital City of Finland - - COPENHAGEN

Most important Finnish Towns - - Ålborg, Odense, Århus

Yes, that's right!

Michelin's guide is unable to cross the Baltic from DENMARK to FINLAND.

I bought my copy from Amazon March 1st 2010 - - so, we're not describing something old!

Having used Michelin guides in the 80's and 90's to travel around Europe, I find this version of a guide to the Nordic area and Finland to be lacking in the details and skimpy in coverage. It appears Michelin changed formats or never has put out a good guide to the north countries. I find all guides I have reviewed to be rather lacking and see an oppotunity for someone to come out with a decent guide to the country as a whole and not just a few popular sites. I am not taking this quide with me on the trip given it's limited content.

Michelin Guides give the facts without a lot of elaboration and generally without personal bias. They give a few places to eat and stay, as well. They often contain small maps helping you to arrive at the site you want to visit. I've always preferred Michelin guides because they have the info I need in a smaller size than some others.
