Sloppy craftsmanship,

I returned two of these lamps for shoddy craftsmanship before I gave up and just kept the third one. The main problem seems to be the joints where the faces of the lamp shade come together. Stuck in the joints are pieces of brass colored fibers, as if somebody tried to sand the edges using a brass type of steel wool. This left a bunch of these brass fibers, which someone at the shop tried to (unsuccessfully) cover up using black paint. The lamp uses a 60w bulb, but it isn't the normal size bulb but one of the small candelabra type, which wasn't included. Also, the on / off switch isn't located on the lamp, but rather inconveniently located halfway down the rather short plug / cord, which is a pain to reach as most people try to hide the cord behind furniture. Then again, what do you expect from some piece of crap made in China?
