The book is full of great pictures of the lichens found in Michigan. The author's descriptions are concise and informative, even tossing in the occassional bit of history. My only problem with the book is the lack of a key, so one has to search through the pictures to find the correct lichen.

This book has nice pictures, but be aware some of the names listed are wrong. These names change a lot and this book is out of date. You may have to look the new name up somewhere else.
