Brought to you by the game wizards at Rare (makers of Banjo-Tooie and Donkey Kong Country, among others), Mickey's Speedway USA is the to-go version of the Nintendo 64 game of the same name. Pluto's been dognapped, so Mickey and his other Disney pals take to the roads to fetch him. You'll race through a series of circuit tracks with names like Traffic Troubles, Freewayphobia, and Victory Vehicles, but you're going to have to come in third in each race to progress to the next track. Other game features include portraits and scenes to be printed through the separately sold Game Boy printer, keys to unlock drivers on the Nintendo 64 version of the game (Transfer Pak required), and head-to-head racing via a separately sold Game Link cable connected to a friend's copy of the game.

Choose from a list of your all-time favorite Disney characters, then rev up your engine and try to blast through the other lovable cartoon crazies in pursuit of first place. Mickey, Donald, Goofy, Minnie, and Daisy are all here, and you can play as any one of them. There are 19 different tracks in the game, so you'll have to practice a lot if you want to make it through all of them. The courses are spread across five circuits each in a different Disney locale. MICKEY'S SPEEDWAY USA also features an exciting Adventure mode, in which you have to save Pluto from the infamous Weazel bunch. Fun, interesting courses or 'cities'. I like the fact that each character Mickey, Goofy, Donald, Daisy all have different difficulties. Picking up items to throw is a big bonus..if you like Super Mario cart you'll like this game for Gameboy. Only complaint, once you start a saved game with a character, you can't change them later in the other courses.

I purchased this game for my son last Christmas (age 5). This game is a favorite of his. He really enjoys the car racing with all of Mickeys friends. The graphics are great, the cars are easy to recognize. The track continually gets harder with ramps, water and secret short cuts, with each level. My son, when playing this game will usually sit for 45 min. to an hour. "Disney" did it again, GREAT game and age appropriate. Your young children will enjoy this game. Watch out for Minnie she likes to win!
