This review is from: Micro Cessna 210 RTF Centurion Electric Red / Yellow (Toy)
I purchased this recently from a local hobby shop, and I have had a lot of fun flying this around my yard.
I had not flown an r/c plane before, but I have played flying games on the PS, PS2 and XBox 360, and I found that it was very easy to fly (but definitely too fragile for kids to play with). It seems that it would be easier to break if you held it wrong than when crashing it into grass.
It can fly away easily in winds more than 5mph, so calm conditions are recommended. It is surprisingly sturdy. I flew it too high on the fourth flight and it spent the first night I had it 40 feet up in a tree, but I got it down the next day, charged and flew it. In 20+ flights, only a small crease has formed on the right wing, but I fixed it with the shiny, clear Scotch tape. White glue and Scotch tape will fix most fuselage and wing issues.
I wouldn't expect such a small, lightweight plane to last forever (replacement parts appear to be easily available), but I am extremely pleased and surprised with the plane's resilience after at least 10 hard hits in the grass and a couple of trees (this plane is like velcro on small tree branches - be careful!).
Suprisingly this plane has a faint red LED inside that lights the fuselage when the battery is attached, and a kind of homing beacon that beeps when the battery is dead, I assume so you can find it if it runs out of power and goes down in tall grass or something. Pretty neat features for such a small, lightweight plane.
Highly recommended for older kids/adults that want to learn full-function r/c flying. This plane is pure fun!
