I then tried cooking at 6/10 power, and the white was less rubbery, but the yolk was more runny.

1st I bought the Krups 230-70 Egg Express Egg cooker, which took too long to cook eggs and was a pain to use and clean up. We wanted soft boiled eggs, but even after cooking them, it's hard for our kids to eat them in their shell, and takes too long. So, in desperation, I thought I'd give these little guys a try. They work great! 25 seconds and you can have a nice, soft cooked egg, that you don't have to fight a shell to eat. The egg will not explode IF you pierce it with a knife or toothpick first. You add a few drops of water and the egg comes out clean, and perfect, plus it looks great on toast. The center is a perfect yellow color too! Don't spend the time or money on a machine that you have to wait for and struggle to keep clean. Buy this little guy and you won't be sorry!

micro wave egg cooker, wonderful for a quick healthy, tasty breakfast.. It cooks a single egg in seconds. Wonderful for a soft boiled egg on toast. Love it. I have bought it for some of my friends.

Makes what we call a hard cooked egg, not hard boiled. Tastes ok, but not something you could then slice over a salad or anything.

Cleans up easy.

WARNING!!! Use real eggs, egg beaters explode when cooked in this.

I really like this product as an alternative to the time consuming task of boiling eggs. If I want to make a quick tuna or potato salad, I can use this handy cooker to cook my egg and then I simply take out, let it cool off, and chop up my egg. I don't think this item is meant to replace all traditional methods of cooking eggs, but a quick easy way to cook eggs when you just need one or two eggs at a time.

ok, we somehow were given one of these as a gag gift a few years ago. we never used it. then when we moved, it came out of hiding and we decided to give it a try. we laughed as the lid popped off and exploded over the microwave and were ready to throw it out until we realized that stupid us, this was a screw top! yup, screw it shut and it stays shut. cook your eggs and you have a rather ugly but very useful hard boiled egg in 55 seconds or less depending on the microwave power. they are not pretty although if you remember to spray the inside with pam they aren't quite as ugly. however, they serve their purpose well. egg salad is ready for the mayo in a few minutes. we purchased a second one from amazon now and we use both to cook. so while removing one from the cup the other is cooking. last night i made egg mcmuffins without a trip to mcdonalds. it took about 3 minutes. 2 eggs, cheese, and bread were ready so quickly that it is now our rushed to eat meal of choice. i forgot to spray the cups first so it took about 45 seconds to clean them instead of 15.

if you hate waiting for a hard boiled egg and don't care if they are not beautiful, this is the item. remember to twist the lid shut though.

so far we actually have two 'as seen on tv' items that actually work, lol.

SO glad to have found these little guys on Amazon. Bought two with some reservation on a recent trip. In the past, as some reviewers did, bought other egg cookers, from electric to microwave, only to relegate them to the yard sale pile or worse. I eat eggs, love eggs and a hard boiled egg is sometimes the perfect fix for some quick protein. But starting to boil water, deal with shells, and hot eggs, well, it's just not worth the trouble.
I LOVE these guys and now I can and send them to friends as gifts. Thanks Amazon. ONE NOTE: since all microwaves are different, it may take a bit of tweaking to get your 'perfect' setting for the type of egg you like, but it's worth the time. Easy to use and clean, so five stars all around.

I've been using mine for literally 5 years now. It's perfect. Pierce the yolk before cooking and it won't explode. Once you cook a couple eggs, you know exactly how much time to set it for to cook the way you like them. In my crappy, weak old microwave it's about 1:00 or 1:10 depending on the size of the egg.

Also, as far as the problems with being able to remove the lid, mine unscrews quite easily. I believe it was a little harder to unscrew when I first got it, but over time the threads loosen up a bit. Might help to put a few drops of vegetable oil on the threads -- though like I said I never had to resort to anything like that.

I purchased these little egg cookers about 2 years ago and absolutely love them. On my diet eggs are a free food and I use to hard boil eggs every monday to get me through the week then everyday I would crack my egg wash it then slice it for my breakfast. After I bought this little gadget I take my eggs to work, crack one into the cooker, stir it up add my seasonings and pop it in the micro for 35 to 40 seconds and I am a happy little camper. I have a nice warm breakfast sitting at my desk and I stay on my diet because it is so filling.

Easy to clean, easy to use and a must have for working people who want a good for you warm breakfast in the morning. I have to order more because everyone takes mine or I give them to friends. Have to try it, FANTASTIC!!!! AWESOME!!!! GREAT!!!!!
