Works very well and is too easy to install.

When I ordered this item I was annoyed because the estimated arrival date was a month out so I was happy when it came within a couple weeks.

The only problem I encountered was with 2.5" enclosures - the adapter board just wouldn't fit.

As this is just a simple connection adapter there's not much that could screw up... well they managed to.

While this device does actually function with all the drives I've tried the SATA connector is oriented in an incorrect manner. You'd expect it to be oriented so that the the PCB was above the level of the connector, so it would fit similarly to a 2.5" SATA drive, but instead it's flipped 180 degrees, so the mSATA device faces toward the bottom of whatever tray or device it's mounted in. This means that it goes below the level of the connector, and in many mounting situations this causes stress on the connector, and makes it so the adapter and mSATA drive don't fit properly in their installed application. This is just a ridiculous oversight. It means you have to cram it in to place, and since the mounting holes don't line up with anything you can never be sure it will remain in place. There's also no heat sinking so some drives (particularly the M550 in my experience) get very very warm. I'd suggest taking a look at item B00G8772CS instead. It's not much more expensive, is properly oriented, has a heatsink, and even USB connectivity.

Good deal. Be careful though because not all SSD's will fit. The latch will interfere with the chips on bottom side.

I use this at work since we are getting more and more slates and ultralight laptops, that come with the mSATA micro drives, and people are needing to transfer data off them when they get bigger drives, or something else fails on their system, and they need data. Has worked good every time.

This product works. I plugged in my mSATA drive and now it works like a SATA drive. No firmware or software change needed for the adapter. Simple plug and play. I didn't conduct any thorough speed tests to verify any performance issues. But for my purposes there's been no issues.

I bought an OCZ mSATA drive for my Acer Iconia Tab Windows tablet. I wanted to update the firmware on the OCZ drive. Unfortunately, the OCZ update process won't allow a firmware update if the drive is actively being used as a primary drive (this is a terrible design on OCZ's part). With this adapter I was able to pull the mSATA drive out of the tablet, mount it to my desktop PC, and then perform the firmware update from my PC.

Popped my intel 310 laptop SSD 40gb onto this adapter, loved that it snapped in and had springs above it to keep it locked in place.

Put inside my media center mini-pc, rested on top of dvd drive inside, next to laptop SATA hard drive.

Motherboard recognized it immediately and installed Windows 7 64bit onto the SSD with no issue.

It would be nice if they included some sort of brace or sled for the board because it's a bit flimsy and wiggles in the case. That's not to say it would come loose its just that the board is so thin and it sticks off the drive case's connector that it just feels a bit rickety. Does the job though so I can't really complain too much.

Ordered this for a customer of mine. They accidentally ordered a mSATA SSD instead of the regular SATA drive. Given their desire to use the drive they ordered given the special, it was cheaper to just buy this adapter than others.

The drive snapped right into place. I didn't notice any issues using this adapter vs just using a regular SATA drive. The speed and transfer rate was as I expected. I would highly recommend this adapter to anyone that needs to connect a mSATA drive to a regular SATA connection in their PC.

It worked as advertised, but not out of the box, The back half of the ssd holder was improperly soldered, and so msata ssd(s) wouldn't fit. After some soldering it worked fine, but I wouldn't trust it for any high-steaks machine. The pick and place machine did an especially pour job, and many of the contacts on the standard sata connector are almost shorted together due to misalignment. Just by looking at it I am surprised it works, and yet it does.
