POSITIVE: Cuts the SIM perfectly. The trick is to press down quickly with lots of force. If you do it slowly, you might be left with edges that need filing.
I put the cutter on the floor and pressed down with my foot. Worked like a charm.
NEGATIVE: The included converters to convert a micro-sim to SIM are no good. I won't recommend using them, unless you're willing to damage your phone.
Conclusion: Use this only to make a SIM micro-SIM. I would have given it 5 stars if the included sim converters were any good.

I was a little hesitant to chop my SIM card up, but the Noosy works flawlessly. The SIM adapters on the other hand are of questionable quality. They are flimsy and therefore very difficult to insert into most sim card slots. Just trying to get the micro SIM card to fit into one of the adapters is difficult (the plastic is very flimsy). Having said all that, I purchased this along with a better SIM card adapter that I found on Amazon and I am very pleased with the results.

I was trimming a newer T-mobile SIM with this SIM cutter and it completely failed. It wouldn't stamp out my SIM and instead the metal got bent before it made a complete cut into the SIM card. It ended up leaving a good enough imprint on the SIM for me to trim it myself with a pair of scissors. Maybe I received a defective one but considering the simplicity of the product, I believe the issue is the quality of metal that was used. The bottom part of the cutter got bent and now it won't cut properly. In all seriousness, how can a plastic SIM be tougher than this metal? 1 star.

This Sim cutter is cheap and had lots of poor reviews, but the risk was low enough I decided to go for it. When it arrived, I found that there were makers on the top and bottom of the cutter showing how to insert the Sim card. But the one on the top indicated a different orientation than the one on the bottom. The one on the bottom didn't make much sense, so in oriented it with the one on the top. I punched out the card, popped it in my new nexus 4, and it worked.
For reference, micro Sim cards should have the same corner cut out as full sized sum cards.

So typical chinese quality, the SIM actually bent the bottom metal portion of the cutter. This ended up creating the indentations, which i then just used a pair of scissors to complete the job that this device was supposed to do. I'd recommend just getting an outline online and cutting it using some scissors. Horrible quality and design, can't believe plastic has the ability to bend metal. Go figure, only the chinese can pull that feat off.

I received this product and it does not appear the same as the product in the image, so I may have gotten a knock off. All it did was mangle my SIM card. I would steer away from this and try cutting it out (very carefully!) with a pair of scissors or a knife. This product just ruined it.

Would have rated higher if it had all the pieces with it
The SIM cutter itself works fine, but mine came without the two SIM adapters it wass supposed to have with it. Not a big deal, but this would have gotten another star with them.
