4.0 out of 5 stars Good mobo
I just bought this mobo with Athlon64 3200+ and installed XP on it. It works flawlessly. I do not even need to tweak the BIOS. The mobo seems to be well made. All the capacitors are of Japanese brands. Definitely No cheap Taiwanese capacitors, which fail after 2-3 years (my Abit KT7A-Raid, Epox 8KHA+ and my friend's ECS mobo all died within 3 years due to blown...

3.0 out of 5 stars You get what you pay for
I purchased two of these for some low cost PC's for office. The fan over the NB chip went out on both boards after a few months. The location of this fan makes it difficult to replace because of location to the video card.

Other than that this has been a great little mobo and bargain basement price.

All the capacitors are of Japanese brands. Definitely No cheap Taiwanese capacitors, which fail after 2-3 years (my Abit KT7A-Raid, Epox 8KHA+ and my friend's ECS mobo all died within 3 years due to blown capacitors. Abit even recalled some of its KT7A).
However, there is an issue with its chipset fan. It's one ball and one sleeve bearing fan, which generally last only one year. Moreover, the fan's unique shape made finding a replacement impossible.

1.0 out of 5 stars frankly terrible., June 12, 2007

i'll keep this short and sweet. the northbridge fan goes from noisy, to seizing after a few months, and replacing it is almost impossible because finding a low enough profiled fan is next to rediculous. now the capacitors are bulging, and to avoid a reformat i can only buy this piece of junk again so that it can last me another year or two. avoid this mobo at all costs!

I bought this motherboard because of the Athlon CPU I wanted to buy. I've had no complaints in the last....6 months that I have been using it. Computer works GREAT, it's fast, and thanks to the quality components that I paired the mb with, I don't have anything but good marks for this thing.

1.0 out of 5 stars Unreliable, January 24, 2007

I own two of these motherboards. Both PCs I built them into are having problems after several months. I've swapped out components over and over and it's obvious the motherboards have issues. One machine freezes randomly during POST, the other shuts down with no notice every 24 hours or so. I will never buy another MSI product again. 0 for 2!
