This little speaker is about the size of a billiard ball. The sound quality is OK but nothing special. It has a rechargeable battery, but doesn't come with a charger - you have to supply your own.

It has a lighted menu screen consisting of a bunch of icons so you can set it to music, FM radio, etc. Each menu icon has a sub-menu but it's all in Chinese. If your Chinese is a little rusty, you may have trouble programming the device.

The FM radio is digital. You find the station you want by pressing the UP or DOWN buttons. The radio doesn't remember your station, so each time you turn it on you have to thumb through the UP or DOWN buttons again.

The volume control works by holding down the UP or DOWN buttons. The radio doesn't remember volume settings either, so you have to reset the volume every time you turn it on.

I gave the unit a full charge and then turned on the FM radio to listen to the ball game. The unit lasted only into the 8th inning (2-3/4 hours) before the battery ran down and the radio shut off.

You can insert a USB flash drive into the top of the unit and play music. I wanted to shuffle the songs, but couldn't figure out how to do this. There are menu options available but as I mentioned earlier they're all in Chinese.

Given the short battery life, you can't use this thing as a portable device. You can leave it plugged in and use it as a cheap counter-top radio/MP3 player. But if you're going to do that, you might as well spend a few extra bucks and get a better player. That's what I plan to do.

It was a great idea to be able to have the flexibility to play radio, mp3 player, play music from micro sd card and usb plug. First of all, it doesn't come equipped with the cable to connect with mp3 player, and it didn't play at all with the cable I bought (it played on other speaker.) The radio wouldn't pick up ANY signals! With a micro SD card, it would play a song. But before it finished playing it, it would jump to radio and started searching for a frequency. So it blasted loud static noise in the middle of my song. Only way it would stop is for me to turn it off. Now, this was so much trouble for a little portable stereo I wanted. It left me very, very disappointed and frustrated.

This is a great mini speaker. Fantastic bass and highs - good volume.
I already had the earlier model "Music Angel". That too, was a great speaker but without the versatility of this model.

Here's what I discovered with some experimentation: The round input socket has three functions
depending on how far you insert the plug into the hole.

1) Radio Antenna - partial insert
2) Audio input (from computer or mp3 player, etc)- partial insert
3) Audio Headphones - full insert

AND! If you want to use the USB or card function, the drives MUST be formatted as FAT32. This appears to be true for all the USB players I have encountered.

I've seen complaints about the above - possibly because folks didn't experiment enough.
All functions are working on my little system.
Good Luck!

Oh yeah - 2 days after ordering - I went to the Amazon site to track the package,
then I looked in my mailbox, and it was already here!

Basically I bought this so I could download songs to my flash drive and then plug it into the device and listen to the songs at work on my desk because I don't get great radio reception. All the songs were downloaded from ITunes so they are MP3's and or MP4's which are readable on this device if you read the description.

When you plug in the Flash Drive (I have 2 of them SanDisk and PNY) it either won't read the files at all and you have to keep trying to plug and unplug OR it will read the file and then in the middle of the song it will choose to stop reading the file on its own and just shut off or switch to the radio.

Also there is no spot for a headset or ear buds to plug in, which is my fault because I should have looked for that, but I just assumed something as simple as an earplug hole for a headset would have been there.

In the end if all your looking for is a little radio device, then it's fine.
but if you're looking to use the flash drive you are going to have all kinds of trouble, IF you get it to work at all.

I am going to start looking for another flash player reader device to listen to music and other downloads, but I'm starting to think none of them are made very well.

This little device is louder than it looks by it's size, you would have fun with this mp3 player, it plays formats mp3-320,
To wave.. Only..... It has input for your tablets, iPhone , iPod , and portable cd player.... Also listen to your mp3 tracks
With your micro San disk card , it can read from 4gbs to 16 gobs micro San disk cards.... You need a micro San disk card for adapter for music transferring from your pc, make sure the card is formatted to fat 32 , so your New Angel
Can play it very easiely , for your listening enjoyment .... Your teenagers would love this item! I sure do!... :)

The menu function is not that great. It doesn't work like the instructions. I cannot get into settings to change the date and time. But, it works plays my ad card, plays FM and sounds pretty good in a nice little package.

I purchased this to use in my nephew's bedroom for his orchestral lullabies. I was skeptical upon buying, and wasn't sure what to think once I got it either. I popped in a USB thumb drive, powered it up, and hit play....and I was BLOWN AWAY!! The audio is AMAZING! The sound is clear, deep, and very rich! I'm an audio snob after working many years in broadcasting as a radio disc jockey and broadcast engineer -- it takes a LOT to impress me, but this really did! The sound is phenomenal for such a small little cube! It works quite well for it's intended application. Even the FM radio reception (with external antenna, of course) is good and sounds very clean! My only complaint was that the LCD display part of the radio -- the plastic covering the screen was a bit scuffed-up...and this was a NEW item. It's not bad (and it's going in a toddler's bedroom!!), but still...in addition to that, I've been unable to power it with an external power source via USB. I'm sure it can be done (I haven't honestly tinkered with it much), but having a DC power plug option to go off the battery would be nice! Other than that -- great little radio! Love it! Probably buying another for other uses soon!

This is the listing I purchased from on amazon, and the purchased item was not fully like the one described or displayed. The item works ok, and the instructions were adequate to understand. It was not too difficult to change the language setting from 'simplified chinese' to english. The item I received does not have a USB port as pictured and described. It has the micro SD slot while sufficient for my use, would have made it slightly more versatile for what I am using it for. So far it has performed quite well since I use it in a vehicle for work that does not have a radio and we are not supposed to use headphones. It is quite loud for such a small device.

The idea of this device is phenomenal, but poorly executed. The battery on a full charge lasts about 30 mins at best. Also, the pictures are a bit deceiving, this thing is seriously small. Pay close attention to the inputs and examine a usb thumb drive to get an idea. It would be a home run if not for the battery and crude interface...

I thought it was going to be a great small speaker and to think that it had USB ports too but it wasn't what I expected. It had several scratches on the screen and the speaker didn't work either.. Another thing is the language settings were set to Chinese so I had a tough time trying to work with it. Wasn't very happy so I returned it and still haven't received a REFUND yet...
