This external battery kept my Samsung Galaxy S 2 with power for 3 movies on a 2 leg flight of 12 hrs and had plenty to spare. Nice to discover that the ac charger charged both cell phone and external battery at the same time

For long plane trips my Infuse takes a beating, charge-wise. I want to use it for games, music, movies... but I really need it working as a phone, a GPS devise and an email machine after I get off that plane. Spare batteries are ok, but I use a protective covering over the phone that's not easily removed. This device allows me to charge the phone without any kind of outlet available, which is perfect for long plane trips. And it works - slowly, but the phone will end up with enough charge to be useful. The bad news: this thing includes 2 ways to charge - one is a USB out to phone jack in, and it's fine, but means having a fairly long cable lying around along with the phone and the devise. It also has a built-in lead that is skinny and coiled, and goes straight into the phone. They need to be close together, but that's perfect. Only...it doesn't work. Something about the connector works only intermittently, so it's safer to just use the bigger cable instead. One other minor annoyance: overnight, you can plug the phone into the devise, and the devise into the wall, and it appears that both are charging, daisy-chain style. But it takes so long you may not have them both charged up by morning! Better to separately charge each.

-Size-
This wonderfully utilitarian device has the width and length of 1.5x the width and length, respectively, of a credit card. It is about as thick as a pack of gum.

-Power-
It is a 3200mAh battery pack. That means you should get at least 2 full recharges of any phone you own. That being said, the one and only issue I have with this battery pack is that it doesn't stop discharging if something is connected to it. If you leave your phone connected to it overnight, the Anker SlimTalk won't stop charging until it's battery is depleted. Not particularly sure if that's good for your phone's battery or not, but I'm not complaining.

-Features-
Aside from being a simple battery pack, the SlimTalk has three major features that really help make life easier. It has a power gaugae that lets you know how much charge remains in the battery (intervals of 25%). It also has a built in LED flashlight (I'm not really sure why). Possibly the best feature is the built in micro-USB cable. This cable is fairly short, only 2-3 inches long, but it lets me carry the SlimTalk in one pocket with my RAZR without needing to carry around other cables.

-Conclusion-
Are you looking for a budget external battery? If so, this is it. It's pretty much perfect in every way. Are you looking for a more full-featured battery with a larger charge capacity? Look somewhere else.

I bought this in a pinch to solve a problem for my fiancee.
While I've been in Android smartphones through a series of Droids (currently the Razr, and undeniable the best phone I've ever owned), she is new to the "practice", with her LG Spectrum. Myself having spent years getting good at milking the last ounce out of my stock battery... she's still a bit green, and consequently BARELY makes it home from work before diving for her charger. She's climbing the learning curve brilliantly, but it takes time.

She has begun vending at festivals, etc, in our area, and was in a panic about using her phone for credit card transactions all day long, and how she would charge her phone out in the middle of a park (field). So I picked this little jewel out of the pack (mostly for its reviews), and spent a few bucks to give her a little peace of mind.
*(As it turns out, her phone is one of the only on the market (LG Spectrum) that can NOT use the "Square" (or any other card swiper, for that matter)*
Plan B was to key in each person's data manually, which got her through a VERY busy and successful day.

Now to this unit...
It came with a charge (it read 100%), but being a seasoned skeptic, I expected that it would be a "storage" charge, and that it would be a good idea to run it "full dead", then give it the full overnight to soak and refresh the battery's juju. Sure enough, I plugged it into her phone, and the battery was 0% before her phone made it to 80%.
She panicked... I chuckled... let it charge overnight, and sent her on her way, confident that she couldn't possibly kill the phone's battery AND this unit's.

During the course of the afternoon, she ran her phone down to 30%, and as expected, hooked up this booster.

Worked as charger when away from AC outlet. It was able to recharge my infuse from almost dead to near full charge when I was away from an AC outlet and allowed me to use my phone all day.
The flashlight was a also a nice and usefull gadget.

Purchased this product for my Samsung Galaxy S2 Skyrocket for AT&T. Works wonderfully charging my phone on the go. I like the built in LED flashlight and the fact that it is very attractive looking. Was able to get approximately 2 charges to 100 percent out of the charger. You can actually charge 2 devices simultaneously if you use the included cable and adapter. Battery pack charges quickly when plugged into a wall receptacle. Can not go wrong with this product. Highly recommend!
