5.0 out of 5 stars I LOVE IT! (A 9-year old boy's review)
Hi. My name is Joel. I am 9 years old. I love this toy! I have always wanted an X-Wing. It has been my dream. I play with it all the time. I take it wherever I go. I show it to all my friends. I think every boy should have an X-Wing if they like Star Wars!

3.0 out of 5 stars Not accurate
As nice as this toy is, it's not accurate. The top engines are longer than the bottom ones. That makes the model inaccurate and takes away something of the original X-Wing.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best Star Wars vehicles ever, November 23, 2002

Ever since I was a little kid I had been getting Star Wars Action Fleet vehicles from Micro Machines. I still have most of them. Unlike the new vehicles from Hasbro, these were scale, accurate, reasonably sized, reasonably priced, and durable. Plus they came with their own stand so when you got older you could display them. They make perfect decrative models.
They are great for kids too. They have all the moving parts and they are durable. Hasbro's vehicles are no match for the scale and accuracy of these finely crafted replicas.

So if you are looking for a decorative piece,a thoughtful Christmas present for your Star Wars fan,or just something [inexpensive] to make your kids happy, these vehicles are definitely the thing.

This a re-issue of ACTION FLEETS' X-Wing of years ago with added battle damage and a silver painted R2 unit. Although "O.K.", this ship could have been made more accurate than presented. Chief among my complaints are the too narrow-and different sized engines(!?), and the completely wrongly contoured and too thick bottom fuselage. Remove the bottom half of the ship and use Plastruct sheet to scratchbuild the correct lines and you'll have a great replica to display along with the other ACTION FLEET ships. If you have the skills, you can also hack down the too long overhead engines to make the ship even nicer.

1.0 out of 5 stars Hiss! They got this one totally wrong, November 4, 2003

Remember the original X-Wing from 1977, the one that took the Tatooine Luke since that was the only Luke figure made at the time? Did you hate it like I did? The reason I hated it was, the nose was about 40% too short compared with the film. Why? Because they couldn't have a toy to scale, because they couldn't put it on store shelves. BOO! Well, this ship is apparently a replica of that old lame X-Wing, and the nose is way too short. Show Hasbro what we think of their poor design (I mean, the people designing these are obviously not fans themselves, probably haven't seen the films) by giving it the boot out of your shopping cart.

I did not realize this toy was so badly designed untill I did read some reviews. Nose is too short, the botton engines are shorter than the top ones. furtunately they did write star wars correctly..........I hope.
