I wish that I'd had this book available last year, when I took a diamond grading course. The photographs of inclusions are of the crisp, high quality you'd expect from John Koivula, if you've seen his now-out-of-print "Photoatlas of Inclusions in Gemstones." Koivula's text details microscopic traits of enhancement of diamonds, up-to-date information on synthetic diamonds, and internal characteristics on diamond simulants. This is a must-buy for gemologists and jewelers alike. There is nothing out there comparable.
