4.0 out of 5 stars A great read, February 14, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Microbes and Society: Second Edition (Jones and Bartlett Topics in Biology) (Paperback)
An interesting intro to microbiology. No labwork, but basic coverage of the microscopic organisms found in nature. Their role in industry, foods, agriculture, medicine is covered, but not in great depth. This book is perfect for the nonscience major or anyone who likes science but can't spend a great deal of time in a class.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Quality, February 1, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Microbes and Society: Second Edition (Jones and Bartlett Topics in Biology) (Paperback)
The textbook I ordered was rated as being in "Good" condition, but the book was like brand new! The spine was not creased at all and there was not a mark on it anywhere. I was really worried about ordering a used book because of not being able to visably see the quality of the book, but this was a wonderful experience.
