4.0 out of 5 stars microbiology review
I purchased this book for my Microbiology class and it is very helpful. 1.0 out of 5 stars A terrible experience.
Chapter 15 & 16 is entirely ripped out of the book. You think something like that would be on the description.

5.0 out of 5 stars Same Version as Hardback, March 24, 2011
I bought this version to save a little money. Its so surprising how much they charge for the regular hardback edition. I found that the only difference is the cover. Great Value. This book was easy to understand and I scored a 3.8 in my microbiology class! :)

5.0 out of 5 stars Understandable Text, May 23, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
A lot of times a text book is too wordy for someone to read and understand. I'm taking my microbiology course online and it was very crucial that I actually know what the book was talking about. This has been a relatively easy (as text books go) book to understand.

5.0 out of 5 stars good book, June 25, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
The book is not that hard to understand, it's written a way for people who are not major in medical field can understand. My professors are two authors of the book (student @ UW), the book & lecture together should be very easy to understand compare with other books that i have read. Plus, not everyone are going to microbiology field so there is no expectation that the book supposes to tell you everythng about microbiology. Plus, a good book is a book that everyone can understand.

Used this book for an intro micro class. I really enjoy the human perspective- about a third of the book is about organisms and the diseases they cause.

4.0 out of 5 stars Didn't use it much, but it was written well, October 1, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I ended up not needing this textbook much, my teacher's tests were based on the vocabulary which I found on the internet, and the sideshows which I downloaded and studided separately. However, this book was still a valuable backup when I needed it.
