PART OF AN EXCELLENT PAIR April 27, 2012

With its companion book (practicals) this is a course using the MikroElektronika MikroC compiler and their wonderful EasyPIC6 demo board, which uses the powerful and up-to-date 16F887.

They go thru the usual early stuff on numbers etc and on to a series of examples that cover all the main features. I have always learned most from examples and most of my own programs are based on examples.

The books, combined with the demo board and the compiler are all you need to program your own chips.

He also has an excellent book on CAN technology (Boch).
