I feel like such a little sucker.,

Want to know what the secret to the "memory foam" this project boasts? Some of the "wicking" technology so prevalent in sports gear, perhaps? Or the stuff that makes the liquid disappear in diapers? Or the magic of those special "wings" in maxipads, for crap sake? Nope. It's a big ole sponge. It's a big ole sponge in a terry cloth cover. Terry cloth - which is commonly understood to be the sponge of the fabric world - wrapped around a big ole sponge. This thing soaks up about 5 pounds of bath water immediately and then drags those two desperate little suction cups that were supposed to hold it perched in place down to their watery grave. The poor little suckers didn't have a chance. And even if one of them does manage to hang on, the big ole sponge-wrapped-in-pseudosponge just slips off of it like a family-sized loaf of so much wet bread.
That was Sunday. Now it's Tuesday night and the loaf of bread slumped in my empty bathtub is just as wet, but really, really cold. Cold and wet and slumpy in the bottom of the tub. A real "Calgon, take me away" kind of allure... Want to know the secret to the "dry" in the "Microdry" this project boasts? Yeah. Me, too.

I was so disappointed in this pillow. I have been using my bathtub during recovery from foot surgery. Bathing has consisted of hanging one leg out of the tub to keep the incisions dry. So, I thought that nothing would improve that experience more than a soft, luxurious bath pillow to replace the standard terrycloth one that I couldn't get clean. So, the first day, I relax into the soft "memory foam" cushion and it felt quite good.
Day 2: I sit back. Ewww! It's a big, cold glopping wet sponge. It was not possible to avoid getting it wet and it soaked up as much water as possible. I think it's now been drying for about a week and it is still not dry. It's just sitting on my bathroom floor on a "rag" towel trying to dry. And I live in the desert. It's not humidity that's preventing it from drying. In the words of the other reviewer, IT'S ONE BIG WET SPONGE. Useless. I just ordered a $7.95 terrycloth inflatable one in pink to replace it.

Sucktastic,

I was SOOOOOO exited when I bought this. Mmmm... extra luxury in my antique claw foot tub. As soon as I leaned against it any air in it went out and it filled with water. I noticed on the packaging it actually says not to submerse in water. IT'S FOR A TUB!!! Now I just put it in the tub when company's coming over to make it LOOK fancy. This product is a HUGE failure. If you look at the picture for the product you'll see they have the tub only have full. I suppose, if you don't fill your bath tub all the way, you might like this, otherwise, this pillow is sucktastic. Do yourself a favor and buy the $5 air pillow instead (oh, but get the shell one with multiple suction cups and not the flower on with only one suction cup in the middle... trust me).

Microdry is a misnomer. Could not use it because it soaked up a lot of water.

I've tried several different bath pillows and they just don't seem to fit me or my bathtub. This one definitely did the trick. Inflatable pillows don't 'give' at all. This one squishes down so you can get really comfortable. The inside is foam, but is mostly covered in waterproof material (about 3/4 of the pillow that points down toward the water). The upper 1/4 of the foam is not covered - I'm sure so that the foam can dry out if it should get wet. All of this is covered by a terry cloth cover that I simply take off, so that everything can dry out well. They're always both completely dry by the next day. I guess if you took the pillow, held it under water and completely soaked it, it wouldn't dry out overnight, but it really should never get that wet.

Sponge, Not Pillow,

I bought this for my wife as a replacement for her "inflatable" bath pillow. I thought this was a fantastic upgrade because it had a washable cover and it was memory foam, etc. This sucks like a sponge. After reviewing the comments, I should have gone out to review on the internet first. I never would have bought this P.O.S. Whoever marketed this product should be getting a 6-figure income because this product is the worst thing I've ever seen...

Worthless,

How can they sell a bath pillow, for which the instructions say "do not submerge?" If you can't submerge it, it is NOT a bath pillow. We were ripped off.

I was so excited when I had ordered this and couldn't wait for it to come in so I could use it!
However, after the first use, I was disappointed. It is very comfortable, if you don't get it wet. If it gets wet, it stays wet for DAYS! It absorbed 3 times its weight in water and even after squeezing it (which tore the memory foam) as much as I could to get all the water out, it still took at least 2 days to dry out completely so I could put the cover back on. I was afraid to leave it on because I didn't want it to mold. I also gave up trying to use the suction cups. The foam was too heavy when it was wet. It is very hard to use and have it not get wet because then your water is only half full in your tub. I wouldn't recommend this product.

I love the softness of the Bath Pillow. However, I have a fiberglass tub and the suction cups to hold it up do not work.

After using it one time, I set it up to dry in the tub, after three days it was still soaking wet. At this point, I took the pillow out of the cover, and placed both on a folding drying rack - 10 days later, the pillow was finally dry!!! Totally ridiculous!!!
I will be sending it back. |
