Gets the job done,

I had to order this for a class (although isn't that the case with most textbooks?). Being an econ text, I had low expectations. But I was pleasantly surprised. This book is written in (mostly) plain English. The chapters are just as long as they need to be. And although it provides the complicated math mumbo-jumbo, for those who would understand it, the authors certainly do not focus on it. I'm about to embark on my MPP and may hold on to this as a reference for the duration of my student days.

Excellent, Easy to Read, and Thorough,

This is the essential starting point for anyone interested in learning economics. The authors start at the very beginning and work through every aspect of microeconomics by developing a very clear model, and punctuating it with real world examples and historical anecdotes.
