Product Description

The Microflex Diamond Grip disposable, chlorinated, powder-free, standard length latex glove has textured fingers and is thicker at the fingertips. It has a palm thickness of 6.3 mils and a finger thickness of 7.9 mils, and is 9.6" long from the tip of the middle finger to the edge of the beaded wrist cuff, which is 5.1 mils thick. It is suitable for automotive, emergency medical services, healthcare, industrial safety, laboratory, and law enforcement applications. Latex provides better elasticity than nitrile, chloroprene, or vinyl, and better puncture resistance than vinyl. The glove is textured along the length of the fingers for improved grip compared to a glove with textured fingertips. It has been washed in a diluted chlorine-based solution to help reduce tackiness, providing lower surface friction than a non-chlorinated glove and allowing quick donning in wet environments. This powder-free glove leaves no residue, helping to reduce the likelihood of spreading latex allergens and bacteria compared to a powdered glove. The color of this ambidextrous glove is off-white.

Tensile strength, measured in megapascals (MPa), is the amount of force required to rip a glove; the higher the number, the stronger the glove material. This glove has a tensile strength of 27 MPa before aging and 23 MPa after aging. Elongation measures how much a glove can be stretched before it breaks. It is expressed as a percent of the original length of the glove at the moment of breakage, and the higher the percent, the more the glove can stretch. This glove has an elongation of 750% before aging and 600% after aging. Acceptable Quality Level (AQL) is a Food and Drug Administration (FDA) quality specification for the defect rate in surgical and exam gloves. The FDA requires an AQL of 1.5 for surgical gloves and 2.5 for exam gloves. This glove has an AQL of 1.5, which means the defect level from a large sample of the gloves will not exceed 1.5%. Microflex examination gloves meet or exceed applicable standards imposed by ASTM International, formerly known as the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), and the FDA.

Disposable and limited-use gloves are used in medical, forensic, scientific, art, and industrial applications. Gloves are commonly made from flexible materials such as latex, nitrile, chloroprene, and vinyl. While most disposable gloves are designed for either hand, some can be purchased in hand-specific models. They are offered powdered or powder-free; silicone or silicone-free; chlorinated or non-chlorinated; coated or uncoated; with a standard- or extended-length cuff; sterile or non-sterile; and with textured or smooth fingers, fingertips, and palms. A glove's abrasion, cut, and puncture resistance is defined by glove material and thickness, and may be improved with the use of certain exterior coatings. Abrasion resistance means the glove helps protect the hand from contact with rough objects. Cut resistance means the glove helps protect the hand from blades and sharp instruments. Puncture resistance means the glove helps protect the hand from pointed objects such as pins and needles. Chemical resistance means the glove helps protect the hand from certain chemicals. Chemical resistance is defined by glove material, thickness, and length, as well as the work environment and chemicals likely to be encountered. For information on the chemical resistance of this glove, consult the manufacturer's chemical resistance guide.

Microflex Corporation manufactures disposable gloves. The company, founded in 1988 and headquartered in Reno, NV, meets International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 13485:2003.

The microflex diamond grip is the absolute best rubber glove ever. I use these primarily for garage work. Working on bikes, cars, painting, pretty much anything that might get my hands dirty. These gloves fit great and are very resistant to tears. I get hours and hours out of a pair of these gloves. I often re-use them several times before tossing them. They fit nice and tight, no loose finger tips, which makes doing detailed work a piece of cake. Every mechanic or garage junkie should have a couple boxes of these handy.

UPDATE - I've had a couple boxes of these in the garage for well over a year. One of the boxes seems to have a problem where the insides of the gloves are always stuck together. This makes it near impossible to put them on. This has only happened to ONE box. I opened my spare box and they have no problems at all.

My title says it all - excellent gloves, fit well, no defects or problems. I have purchased many of them, over a period of years.
The only concern is that which is shared by all latex gloves: the latex itself, which can cause sensitivity or allergic reactions for some people. (And the more contact one has, the more likely on is to develop this sensitivity.) If it weren't for that, they would be 5-Star. (Nitrile gloves don't have this problem, but are more expensive, and don't fit quite as well.)

Nothing feels like working without any gloves when you're in a tight spot, but when you need gloves and dexterity, these are the best choice. I have used a lot of different brands and this is my favorite. These also don't rip as easily as other gloves. They are a perfect fit for my hands and durable. Perfect for dirty jobs.

I'm not a medical professional, so I'm no expert on daily wear of 'exam' gloves. But I have had some biohazard training, and I researched gloves carefully before ordering these. I'm pleased with these, and here's my review:

1. These are Medium size (each glove size in this model has its own separate Amazon listing). They fit my wife's average female hands just fine.
As a man, I bought this exact same glove in XL size, and the XL fits my average-large hands very comfortably and with just enough room to spare--I'm 6.0" and 180 lbs and I normally wear a Large in work gloves or dress leather gloves, and I am glad I took the advice to order one size larger to XL. So if you're an average sized adult American male, this is a great glove, but you want to go to the XL listing and order the XL.

These are powderless (powder can become a vehicle for both particles and viruses/bacteria) which is nice. They don't need lubrication. They go on easily. There's a very slight texture to the fingertips, you can barely see it yet it's helpful in gripping things.
These are definitely thicker (and better quality all around in thickness, size, fit and wrist coverage) than the Curad nitrile box of 100 that I bought at WalMart's pharmacy before these arrived. I returned those Curad's to Walmart as being too thin and too small for my purposes. I also reviewed those Curad's here on Amazon.
The glove extends about 2 inches up your wrist, which is an improvement over those Dollar Store 10-packs, and also better coverage than the Curad's..

2. I can't vouch for durability yet but these seem rugged.

These are really heavy duty and last multiple times longer than the "heavy duty" gloves I have been using. They fit very well too. I bought mediums for my daughter and large for myself. I use them for weeding and working around the yard and also working on greasy engines and such. I could not determine what color they were on Amazon but ordered them anyway. I would call them beige or sand.

These are my new go-to glove for any work in the garage or around the house. I was previously using some blue gloves that worked well but were a bit too thick. These are the perfect thickness, thick enough to be strong and tear-resistant, but not so thick that you lose finger dexterity. These last hours if need be, without rips. They are easy to take on and off too. Great glove!

I ordered 3 boxes for use in my automotive classes. These are the best, toughest gloves that protect my hands from grease and other dirty fluids. They are thin enough to move my hand and allow my fingers to make important tiny movements without bunching up. These are supposed to fit tight/snug (so make sure to get the right size).

My husband uses these when he works in the garage to keep grease and other garage gunk from coming in the house (especially if you don't have a sink in the garage)! They are perfect for one time use. They don't rip unless you really catch them on something, or cut them. Nice for keeping your hands and house clean.
