I bought this item in spite of the many negative reviews it had received. They were correct. The grating wheel is sharp; there is no question about that. The cheap, flismy plastic housing left much to be desired. I felt like I was going to snap the grater in half when using it to grate pecorino romano cheese. The harder parmigiano reggiano almost destroyed it. The grater would constantly come apart during use, even after I adjusted it properly. I stopped using it after I began finiding little pieces of black plastic in the grated cheese. I do not understand why they cannot make a grater with the quality of a Zyliss and a grating wheel from Microplane. I would not suggest buying this product.

This cheese grater should be taken off the market: it consistently comes apart in the midst of grating and refuses to stay together. I would not take another one for free.

I really like this Microplane grater for cheese. It took a few minutes to realize how easy it was to snap the drum in to the device and boom...it works perfectly. It was worth the $20 for me.

I bought your rotary grater and it literally kept falling apart, the cheap plastic flexed, and at one point it made a cracking noise. I trusted in your name and got burned as a result. I'm out $20 and am going to have to replace this with someone else's product. Unbelievable that you would take a solid customer following and totally destroy it just to make a few bucks -- and judging from the reviews on Amazon that I now see, I'm not alone.

Shame on you for wasting my money in tough economic times like these (or any time).
