2.0 out of 5 stars Good, but lacks business cases as guidance, December 23, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Microsoft® Dynamics(TM) CRM 4.0 Step by Step (Paperback)
It is amazing that company of the size of Microsoft with so much R&D money spent on developing a product, but all work wasted by the poor documentation of a product.

First the MSDN is not really that helpful, it is the discussion forum that is the life-saver. Why? Most Microsoft published books are more like user manual, and for this CRM book, they are treating people using the CRM like an Outlook. There isn't any true automation of sales opportunity integration with ERP mentioned in the book, but the Dynamics series is indeed centered on their ERP solutions.

Since Microsoft already have direct contact of their software customers' base, may be they need to learn how to use their own CRM software, and contact users directly to learn the real world business cases and scenarios, and apply them or show them in books on how to tackle those situations. Makes you wonder, is Microsoft using their own CRM for CRM?

3.0 out of 5 stars Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 Step by Step, June 24, 2009
This review is from: Microsoft® Dynamics(TM) CRM 4.0 Step by Step (Paperback)
This book is very informative and easy to follow. I purchased it because the company I work with is switching to this record keeping system. The company that is servicing the Microsoft Dynamics 4.0 also recommends this book to their customers.
