Editorial Reviews

Amazon.com Review

If you're all set to jump into Microsoft's brave new world of personal information management, get Microsoft Outlook 2000 Step by Step to tutor you all the way through its functionality. Its clearly written instructions, linked to high-impact graphics, make learning each tool easy and painless. The book is so well organized that you can find just about everything you need instantly.

Whether you want to sort out your e-mail, share your calendar with your boss, or maintain a virtual Rolodex, you'll find what you need inside. The CD-ROM comes with all the examples used in the book as well as an assortment of multimedia demos on some of the more involved procedures, a real bonus for visual and hands-on learners.

The authors sprinkle tips and warnings throughout the text both to break up the lessons and to pave the way for future power users. Each lesson includes a time estimate, summary of topics, and reference review to help you optimize your training time. All in all, Microsoft Outlook 2000 Step by Step is a great tutorial for all levels of use. --Rob Lightner

3.0 out of 5 stars Out of date but the lessons are good, April 21, 2011

This review is from: Microsoft® Outlook® 2000 Step by Step (Step by Step (Microsoft)) (Paperback)
I have appreciated the Step by Step series for years. The lessons are short but practical and teach the things you really need to know. This is a useful guide but unfortunately out of date.

5.0 out of 5 stars A life saver for the boss's secretary, August 23, 2007
This review is from: Microsoft® Outlook® 2000 Step by Step (Step by Step (Microsoft)) (Paperback)
Outlook is the main email client for many busy executives and bosses. Not only does it include email, but contacts, calendar, appointments, memos, etc. However most bosses will delegate these office duties to their secretaries. This book is concise, too the point with lots of step by step illustrations. The cd is great it includes the practice files from the book. A handy book for the secretary.
