5.0 out of 5 stars Best detailed source for Word information
I have been using this book for 9 months. It is a comprehensive source on word features and I have found answers to all of my word questions..... didn't always like the answer but it was correct !

3.0 out of 5 stars Don't Try This At Home
I know a good deal about computers and Word. Yet I found this book to be very complicated almost as though it was written by programmers rather than teachers. It would make a good adjunct to classroom instruction but should not be counted upon for teaching oneself at home. Word is exasperating enough in its own right; I found this book just added to my frustrations.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good Book, but . . . . ., June 12, 2000
This review is from: Microsoft® Word 2000 Bible (Paperback)
I thought this was a very decent book. It covers all of the things that you will find in the other books, but not what I was really looking for. . . I am most anticipating a Word book by the author of "Anatomy of a Macro Virus" as it appeared in the MOD magazine. His name is "driza" (pretty sure), but I'm not 100%. This book was somewhat helpful, but not really on the edge. It seems as if all the Word books lately are pretty much the same - run the macro recorder and talk about the code. What I really want is a book that TEACHES me something that I don't know.

There are too many office users writing books and not enough programmers - that's why I'm looking forward to the Document Automation thing by driza.
