Review for Internet Keyboard Pro,
By
This review is from: Microsoft Internet Keyboard (Personal Computers)
The only difference between the Internet Keyboard and the Internet Keyboard Pro is the addition of two USB ports on the back of the keyboard to make adding/removing USB peripherals (provided they are low power or self powered devices) a breeze. I personally love this feature, which is why I opted for the Pro version, but either is quite commendable. The best feature is the customizeable hot keys and a slew of Internet and Media hotkeys. If you freqently use a few programs (Personally, I'm always firing up Windows Explorer repeatedly) the one button approach saves extra clicks. The media player controls are also quite nice, and allow you to quickly adjust volume, stop, pause, and skip to the next/previous track on many programs, including Windows Media Player (of course) Win Amp, and some other popular players. I depart from my usual frugal ways with this item, as it is a little more pricey than cheaper alternatives, especially if all you need is a basic keyboard, but I feel that the convienence features do justify the cost.

Not a bad keyboard for the price, but beware,
By A Customer
This review is from: Microsoft Internet Keyboard (Personal Computers)
I bought this as a replacement for the no-frills keyboard I already had, so the fact that there were any internet buttons at all was an added bonus. But if you think you're going to get your money's worth out of those 10 internet buttons, think again. The only buttons you can customize with a link to any program are mail, my computer, and calculator. All other buttons are either preprogrammed or have limited options, none of which include being able to pick the programs to associate with them. If you need to access more than 3 programs with a push of a button, this really isn't the keyboard for you.

Great, Durable Keyboard,
By
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Microsoft Internet Keyboard (Personal Computers)
I've used just about every keyboard on the market, but this one is certainly my favorite. I've got four of them... two at work and two at home. They never seem to wear out like other keyboards and take a considerable beating. Once, a coworker was helping me move my desk and put my keyboard on the floor. He began picking up the monitor (a 17"), but it slipped out of his hands and landed on the poor keyboard. A dozen keys shot off and the little 'feet' on the bottom of it snapped out. That was six months ago... that same keyboard is still in my office and working PERFECTLY. You can't beat that.

Great keyboard! Best tactile feedback ever!,

I love this keyboard and I use it one at work and at home! A clean, traditional key layout with shortcut buttons that actually work thanks to the excellent Intellitype software. The key response is the best I've used since the old IBM keyboards of the 1980's. The keys are solid, stiff and emit a nice tactile click when you press them. You won't find any keyboard flex or mushy/spongy key response that you'll find in some of the cheaper, no-name keyboards you can buy [elsewhere] for [less]. Microsoft has done their homework with this one! The included wristrest completes this great setup. If you're looking for a basic keyboard and don't require dozens of quickstart keys or the latest RF/wireless model, you'd be hard pressed to find anything better than this one. Take it from me, I use mine all day at work and at home on my own PC!

Keys Wear Out Quickly,
By A Customer
This review is from: Microsoft Internet Keyboard (Personal Computers)
I have this keyboard, and I was here looking for a new one because the one I have is wearing out. If you use certain keys a lot, for instance the control key for your keyboard shortcuts, the keys wear out really fast and they start sticking. My control key only lasted 5 months, (I bought it 5 months ago) and now I have to push it really hard to get it to respond, and it sticks horribly.

I have had this keyboard for years now. I really do not use the "internet" keys, but i really like the calculator key, seeing how im always looking to do a quick calculation. It might not be as quite as other keyboards, but the keys feel fine to push, and after years they have not broke or got stikky, and i have used it alot Daily. The arm rest is the best feature, along with the Huge spacebar. The keys feel very natural, and i like how they slope up. Well worth the money. ~hope this helps

Microsoft has great keyboards,
This review is from: Microsoft Internet Keyboard (Personal Computers)
This keyboard is great. The hot-buttons are addictive. But, I would recommend spending the extra money to get the pro natural version. Its worth the money for the extra hot buttons and USB hub. Especially lately because everything you now buy is usb.

Do Not Buy This Keyboard thinking it's USB,
By A Customer
This review is from: Microsoft Internet Keyboard (Personal Computers)
i bought this k/b thinking it was USB but it's not. If u look in the technical spec and not the reviews, it says that the keyboard is PS/2 so Dont be foul by all the review stating that the keyboard is USB. While the keyboard is fine and nothing special, if i known it was PS/2 i would have bought something else like the internet pro.on another note, the extra button are not customizable and the choices for the buttons arent the best since the useful ones can be accomplished by a keyboard shortcut and the non-useful ones just arent useful.

Great keyboard...wrong place to buy.,
By Jon Leslie "Jon" (Lilburn, GA USA) - See all my reviews

I can't give this thing 5 stars for a few reasons...none of them being bad reasons, just personal issues. As far as the keyboard itself...it is absolutely wonderful. You won't get the tactile feel of most keyboards as this is a very light typer...I love that though as a personal choice. New keyboards tend to take some getting used to but this one required practically no time at all. The only thing it really is missing, to me, is audio control built in. Now this may not be the idea of this type of KB at all, but it would have been a real nice addition...even at the cost of $5-10 extra. It still would have been more than worth this price. Now, don't buy this here. Keep in the game Amazon or take this off your site because your not doing anyone any favors at this price.
