It's Microsoft,

This review is from: Microsoft Digital Image Suite 2006 [LB] [Old Version] (CD-ROM)
This is not the best image suite I have used. However, I was able to purchase it and receive a rebate whereby it was free. If you can't get a rebate, I would suggest looking around a little more. It is fairly easy to use, but doesn't have the wealth of tools that other products have. If you just want to crop, auto focus, etc. and send to others or post on your home page, this is fine. If you are shooting for a professional look for a business site, this may not be the package for you. The one feature for which I purchased it was the stitch feature. It also does not work as well as others but is usable if you can get all the pictures to line up correctly. Mine was free ultimately, so I will keep it. But will still keep looking.

Love This Program,

This review is from: Microsoft Digital Image Suite 2006 [LB] [Old Version] (CD-ROM)
First off Let me say this: I have been into photography since 1969 when I was 11 years old and my Father,in Hong Kong, bought me my first 35MM camera..a Canon Pellex QL with a Cannon FL 58 mm 1.2 lens and I still have it to this day...it works but I don't use it or any of my film cameras anymore. As you can see I have been at photography for a while and have always used canon equipment. I am self taught and I have processed and developed B/W as well as Color slides and prints(prefer printing color from slides. I know printing from slides takes a bit longer then color negitive but I found slides easyer) I do this for my own enjoyment and have never sold my work but I have given it as gifts. Ok...on with this review: The amount of features included in this product are too many to mention.I can do everything with this program that I can with PhotoShop (with the exception of some laryering aps)faster and with fewer clicks. Unlike PS, I did not have to read the manuel for hints and tips or buy costly plug-ins for this to do everything I need this to do. As far as,"Mr one star" says Buggy? I have NEVER had any problems with this program in the 5 years I have owned it. I can open several GBs of pictures in seconds with this...maybe he just needs a computer upgrade and or some more RAM. I would and do recommend this program to anyone who wants a great photo editing tool that comes with some really fun projects as well. So, if you need a powerful photo editing program that will do anything the competitors software will do and at a fraction of the cost, this is for you. This is my digital Darkroom and a great program that I could not do without.

Digital Image Suite, 2006 old version,

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Microsoft Digital Image Suite 2006 [LB] [Old Version] (CD-ROM)
Learned an earlier version of Digital Image Suite (2002), and used for several years. Decided to 'advance' to Photoshop 8 after being told it was a superior product. Mistake! Photoshop 8 is cumbersome, meandering, and way too heavy with complex rules. Digital Image Suite was listed as discontinued, however I was delighted to find that a more recent, unfortunately not current, 2006 version was available. I am back in business with software that is easy to understand, easy to find and assign photos to a group, and simple to do all the complex photo editing I enjoy.
