We purchased this book to help train a new employee on Microsoft CRM 2011. It is excellent. We are using it as a reference and every section we have gone to has been very detailed. There is a lot of content in it and the authors seemed to do a very thorough job linking sections to each other so you can see how things interact. CRM 2011 has added a lot of functionality so this book is a must have reference for any company using Microsoft CRM.

This is a great reference regardless of level of familiarity with CRM. I am a CRM consultant for a major MS partner and I find this to be a great desk reference.

There are only a few people within the world of technology who can deep dive into the business needs behind a Customer Relationship Management system and the technical details and depth that a developer extending Dynamics CRM needs. The CRM 2011 Administration Guide is a compilation of a huge amount of experience and knowledge from just such a person. Matt Whitman brings business and technology together while representing the flexibility of Dynamics CRM at it's finest.

Very broad coverage but just tantalizes you on each subject. Just when you think you are getting to the good part of a topic...next topic.
Little here that is not available in Help or the SDK. Should have know better, the book came out to soon.

Great Resource,

I'm a Product Manager for Customer Relationships Management in the higher education industry. We are currently planning our upgrade from CRM 4.0 to CRM 2011 and are referencing this Bible religiously (no pun). This book is helpful for developers, managers, system administrators, and business intelligence personnel. I, personally, have worked with the authors on past projects and I highly recommend their work as well. They are two quality individuals who shoot straight, are clear and concise, and are always very helpful. Great work.

The CRM 2011 Resource Book to own,

This review is from: Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 Administration Bible (Paperback)
Once you purchase this book and it arrives you'll know why the title of this review says that this is the CRM 2011 book to own. This is not your 'average' CRM book. First, the book contains more than 700 pages of CRM vital information. It takes the reader from "Laying a Solid Foundation" through "Extending and Integrating". What's in between those two, nothing but pure CRM goodness; architecting the application, installing, managing data, Sales, Marketing & Service, working with Entities, Processes........
The content truly covers all the key areas you want to know about the application.

The Heavyweight book on CRM 2011,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 Administration Bible (Paperback)
At 778 pages Matt and Geoff have written the definitive desktop reference for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011. As practicing CRM consultants for both Dynamics CRM and Salesforce.com they have real world insight into what CRM consultants and technical staff need to know about implementing and supporting a CRM implementation. This is an excellent book for not only the veteran CRM consultant but also for new team members at a consulting firm and IT professionals or product champions at the user organization. What I particularly like about this book is the excellent index and the companion online site that gives access to code samples, planning tools, sample reports, templates and utilities.
