4.0 out of 5 stars Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 - Step by Step March 21, 2011
By Edward
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
As I am currently studying for my Microsoft certification for Dynamics CRM 4 and 2011, this edition's format was excellent and the added practice files and online editions are welcome and added bonuses that I have used for my better and more thorough understanding.

4.0 out of 5 stars Book Review April 29, 2011
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
I have just started to read this book and experience my first training sessions. So far I am impressed with the ease of read and how it applies to the demo sytem. I bought this book with the intent to have our end users use it for self training and as a reference source with CRM 2011. A plus for me is the electronic copy I used to share through our Sharepoint team site.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Good Start March 3, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
What is included is well done and informative. What was not included is what is dissappointing. CRM 2011 is a deep software package and requires several books, but this one could have included more on using the application. Still it is a great reference for what is included, it is well written and therefore is on my bookshelf.

I was able to walk through it step by step but there is no information on editing it as an admin.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best book for beginners up to intermediate users October 26, 2012
By Rick W
This is a great training guide for beginners and end users. It's not for programmers or system administrators although I've worked in both capacities and there are some useful chapters on importing and exporting data, dashboards and reporting fundamentals. Since CRM is such a huge application this is a great book if you do implementation consulting and training as a point of reference. I often pick it up and review the modules a client is considering using so I can bridge the gap between their business processes and the tool. You will need deeper knowledge than this book provides if you are a consultant, programmer or administrator but there is not a better book on CRM if you need to train your Sales or Marketing people or want to dive into CRM with little knowledge.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not for Devs more for Admins March 18, 2014
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
This book goes into basic concepts at a high level. This book displays features in CRM 2011 and would be good for someone who is new to the application. It will not help you learn the SDK but I suppose you can you use MSDN for that. Also don't expect to go deeper than a mid to mid high level of understanding of how CRM 2011 works.
