5.0 out of 5 stars Very Helpful Book for Everyone, December 19, 2007
This review is from: Microsoft Expression Web Step by Step (Microsoft) (Paperback)
This book helps the novice webmaster start with Expression Web or convert their website over from FrontPage. If you buy Expression Web, this is a must have book for all. It is simple to follow and contains tutorials for all (from HTML to .NET). Learn how to move "upgrade" your FrontPage website, even if you don't understand HTML code.

This book is a must for users needing to start to use Expression Web, whatever the reason.

2.0 out of 5 stars Confusing, frustrating, and time-consuming, November 15, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Microsoft Expression Web Step by Step (Microsoft) (Paperback)
After I brought the Microsoft Expression Web program, the first books that I brought dealt with coding, i.e. "HTML & XHTML with CSS" by Elisabeth Freeman & Erick Freeman, HTLML, XHTML & CSS Visual Quickstart Guide by Elizabeth Castro, "CSS: The Definitive Guide" by Eric Meyer. After that, I wanted to more specifically learn how to use the Expression Web program, so I purchased Nolan Hester's "Microsoft Expression Web Visual Quickstart Guide," and "Using Microsoft Expression Web" by Jim Cheshire, and this book, "Microsoft Expression Web Step-by-Step."

Although, no book is perfect, Chapter 1 in "Microsoft Expression Web Step-by-Step" was a big disappointment. Many of the directions are incomplete, and the illustrations in the book don't coincide with what is shown in the lesson files. This is confusing, frustrating, and time- consuming.

1.0 out of 5 stars worthless or worse, February 18, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Microsoft Expression Web Step by Step (Microsoft) (Paperback)
This Step-by-step book is not step-by-step. There are no clearly defined terms, no attendant images, way too many assumptions and the author in general couldn't teach a sack to hold air. If you want to waste your money, buy this book. Otherwise, look elsewhere. It got one star just because I couldn't post this with no star.
