Excellent as a transition from Front Page 98.,
By A Customer
This review is from: Microsoft FrontPage 2000 At a Glance (At a Glance (Microsoft)) (Paperback)
If you have a working knowledge of FrontPage 98 and want to have a fast start on the new features of FP2000, this is an excellent reference book. It is fast, easy to understand (clearly illustrated) and to the point.

As the title says, At a glance,

This review is from: Microsoft FrontPage 2000 At a Glance (At a Glance (Microsoft)) (Paperback)
I purchased this book as a user of FrontPage and chose it for its quick interface. I did not buy this book for deep content. This book lays out in short precise steps how to insert, create, manipulate or use most every feature within FP2000. That is great for a user who would like to simply apply something to there page to see how it works. Unfortunately, there is only cursory information here: barebones really. For somethings like formatting text, that is fine, but for advanced level users, we need more in depth explanation. I use this for prepping exercises for students, but not for content about the web or the components I might be using. As I said, the title does say at a glance!

Another review of this book claims that you don't need to buy the book because it comes for free with FrontPage. This isn't true -- unless you get some kind of special deal that bundles the book with the program!

I don't think you really need to buy this book, because if you bought FP2000, it comes in the box. I am just warning you of this. The actuall book, I'm glad they included it in the box, but I'm sure there are much better books out there. It is written by MS, and I think they're a little better on the technical side then at print.
