I state, "This Book is Great" but I also must say, This Book is Great if you don't know Front Page 98. I had had Front Page 98 for some time and finally made my mind up that I was going to publish my web site. I had no knowledge of FP 98 and this was the book I purchased. Wow! It was able to teach me everything I needed to get Published. Now.....once you are published and want to do more you will need another resource. If you accept that you will need to purchase another book down the road and this one is to get you started, this book is for you.

This is an average book which will introduce you to some of the basic features of Frontpage 98. It very well could have been an outstanding book except for the fact that the CD ROM which contains lessons to follow as you progress through the book has problems. They did post a fix for the CD Rom but I still had some problems with it. I e-mailed MS Press for assistance to which they did respond. However, when I needed more detailed assistance and twice asked for a phone number to talk to a tech they did not respond with one.

I was disappointed with this book. There is practically nothing on troubleshooting when things don't work, and importing the Zoo lesson site didn't work.I also found the coverage of forms very superficial. This book is very basic and will be of little help to anyone who is already familiar with Frontpage or most any other editors. Definitely not for test preparation, but I would agree with those who say it is a good teaching or self learning program for people new to the program.
